Violet's POV
It's been a few weeks now and I am happy to say I have a bathroom and bathtub! Jee and Elliot were able to make a basin to hold a large amount of water in the village main area. With that idea I asked if he could make a small one for me in our tree-house. Since the level of the tree-house would not be strong enough to hold the tub we placed it on the bottom level and I was able to add the long leaves I found as a curtain to guard everyone else from seeing me butt naked when they passed by us.
Not many tree-houses were near us so we didn't have as many people passing anyways. Plus we were able to talk the males into making a small bath house. Exactly like mine but bigger. We were able to add fire under certain areas so that we will always have warm water. So mini hot tubs it was. Both the males and women loved it. I showered one time and used the body wash, shampoo and conditioner and that was a hit too. We were able to multiply the recipe and the best part about that is we can sell and trade them.
Jee hit a portion out of our front wall and made a window. I added the aloe plant in the window and it has been growing since. I did the same with the seeds too. By about next month I should be able to put them in the ground. Jee and I have been working on trying to make a garden outside of the tree branch. It's crazy how big these trees are. They're massive! We can literally add a big modern house up here if we wanted to.
Inside our house another window was made and we placed a sink and counters so that it's easier to cook indoors than outdoors. I sewed the leaves and made curtains all over the house. Made some pots and pans with the coconut husks and now we have a full running house. The clothes I made came out so good. Clarise is actually pretty good at being a housewife. I started to weave the clothes together and she naturally took the rest and made it into a masterpiece. I told her she should be able to make more and sell them. I also used Jee's feathers and every time I wear his clothes he just blushes.
Most of the males all know how to use traps and cook fish. They gather using the baskets and are home earlier then later in the day so family life has been very pleasant.
"Violet today my brother and the rest of the males should be here. Our scouts give them a few hours." Jee says to me
"That's cool. I can't wait to meet everyone." I say back to him happily
I double take as I see a murderous glare on Jee's face. Was that my mind playing on me or did he really look that scary?
"I am glad. They will be very happy with the new improvements that you have brought to the tribe." he says back to me adoringly
"I hope so. I am a bit tired. I am going to take a nap before they get here. Maybe you should make soup or fry some fish so they can try some when they get here." I suggest to him
"I will make some. I most likely can think all the females are doing so as well since their males are coming home. Mom was thinking of doing fried fish. Her spouse will be happy to see her actually cooking." he says back laughing
"Jee. When it comes to males, is your father your mothers main male correct?" I ask him
"Yes. She has a few more spouses after him I lost count to be honest." he says back a bit annoyed
"Is there such a thing as a limit or minimum that a female is supposed to have?" I ask him
There it is. That murderous feeling.
"Females can choose as many or as little of the amount of males they have. You can have many males but it is the males you marry or allow to marry who always stay connected to you. Each male will leave a mark on you when you allow them to be your husband." he says back to me
"Mark huh? So like a tattoo?" I ask him
"Yes very similar but the mark holds more to just a claim. Spouses can feel when they're in trouble or where to find them. The only time they can't is when the mark is no longer there." he says
"Is it possible to remove a mark?" I ask him curiously
He looks away sadly into the window.
"If a female rejects a male after being marked they can have the mark removed. But by doing that the male must scratch off the female's mark to be released. It is a very hard and sad process. They either scratch it off or find a way to get it off or other males will do it for them." he says back sadly
"Would they be able to find another female if they do so?" I ask curiously
"If they survive it they may." He says to me
"Survive?" I ask
"Removing a mark is not something simple. It's not just a physical exterior thing. Once you mark your spouse it is an eternal vow. It is a promise. You removing the mark won't just remove the symbol but also a piece of their heart. Most of the males won't be able to survive after this. Females will survive since they have multiple partners. So one piece of their heart can be replaced by their other spouses they have near them. Their other spouses will make sure that her heart is full so that she can survive." he says back to me
"That sounds awful. I would never have done something like that to anyone." I say back to him sadly
"Really?" he asks surprised
"Why do you say it like that?" I ask him
"Sadly it is not a rare thing to happen. Females sometimes remove males who are not strong or don't contribute to them. That's why males fight for females to show how strong they are." he says back sadly
I know this man in front of me is no ordinary man. Strength is something he does not lack so why hasn't he picked any female to be by his side yet?
"Jee, how come you haven't found a spouse yet?" I ask him curiously
"You want me to find another spouse?" he asks me upset
"Another spouse? Did you have one already?" I ask him
"How about you take that nap. I have to run a few errands before they get back. I will be here when you wake up." he says and covers me with a blanket and flies off
Did I say something wrong?
