Return of the Chieft

Weeks later.....

Isaiahs' POV

I've finally finished this long journey and I am on my way home. I see everyone is excited to almost get there but I on the other hand wish we were gone a bit longer. If I could I would explore more regions of the kingdom and try to grasp as much knowledge of this world as I can, but duty calls. When will there be a day where I can leave and not take responsibility for others?

I check out our boundaries and see a few new things around the village. There is a huge bowl looking item that is filled with something and I smell a delicious aroma of the ocean standing in the entrance. I look around and see sticks with coconut fruit above it and water next to them. What has happened since we have been gone?

I follow the smell and find a huge pile of mini suns burning around the center of the village. Usually if any beasts were around this amount of mini suns it would bring terror in their eyes but for some reason I hear no screams and no chaos. Only some of the males and females cooking something over the mini suns?

"Is it me or has something really changed around here?" Pete says to me

"Something has definitely changed." I say back to him curiously

We walk down the path and everyone runs to us with awe. As a leader we were able to trade a bunch of our items for other items we needed. The reason why it took us longer than usual was because we had passed a forgotten village due to the weather change. A few weeks back a stormy weather had hit all regions of the kingdom. It was so big that many of us could not get to our destinations for more than a week's time. After the storm passed it was as if no storm had come by at all.

All the beasts were worried. To us it felt like a storm that would never end and then it just stopped. We had to take shelter in the nearest village we could find. After everything cleared up within a few days we decided it was time to go. Since the village was dying, most that could leave left with us. We had promised to go back to get the rest with more men and supplies. Most of them were the elderly and families with children. They would not make it back with the rigid mountains we had to go through so we have to find a different way to go there and back. The benefit was that we have now added 15 more females to our tribe.

"Isaiah, look at that?" Pete points to it

I look and see steam coming out of an area boxed with leaves and bigger bowls then the one before. I walk to it and see many beasts relaxing in the boxes. A beautiful refreshing floral smell passes my nose. What in the world is this?

"Hello Isaiah. This is our new bath house, isn't it cool?" Delphi says to me

"Bathhouse?" I ask her

"Ah, welcome back! I apologize as you guys just got here so we have improved the community by a lot. This bathhouse is used with water steamed to a very controlled temperature. The smell you are smelling is a bath soap we have created to help clean our bodies from the dirt. You may also smell the shampoo and conditioner that we use for our hair and feathers when we bathe." she says back excitingly

"Bathhouse, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner?" I ask concerned

"Don't worry you will be caught up with everything when you see Grand chieftess and Becks." She waves me off and leaves to help someone in the bath house.

I look at Pete and we walk off towards home. Everyone returns back to their homes excited to see what news they will receive while I wait for my mother and Becks to receive us. Father has been quiet this whole time analyzing everything he sees. He must be thinking the same as I. What could have made this much of a drastic change for the whole tribe to switch everything up.

"Welcome back my loves." Mother says to me and father

"It's great to be back my wife. I have seen a lot of changes. You must inform me of what has happened." Father says back to mother

"Of course of course. We will start with this right now." she says and looks towards the entrance of the nest and Becks walks in

I look at my beautiful female and see that she is carefully walking in with the delicious smell of a dish. Eyeing the dish it looks like..

"Fish?" Father asks worried

"Yes. I have prepared some for you and father, Isaiah" Becks says to us.

Father and I look at each other while Pete tries to step outside. I am not going to eat this by myself if we are forced to.

"Pete, come join us. You haven't eaten as well." I say to him

"Oh of course. I can't wait to try this new um delicacy." he says back concerned

He needs to help us eat this dish. I watch to see Becks movement and she not once comes to greet me. Do I really have to deal with her forever? I only did this as a favor for my brother. I know that he never had the heart to tell her that he has no feelings for her so I took the liberty of letting him off freely. I am actually surprised he is not here. Though my female is very pretty she is not the smartest of them all.

"Go taste it." Becks says to all 3 of us

With one last nod between the 3 of us we all take a bite.

"Wow! This is so delicious! I never would have thought someone like you could make something like this so good!" Pete says to Becks

"What do you mean someone like me?" she says back angrily

I glare at Pete for he knows he messed up with his words. With a side sigh I wish sometimes his tongue was cut off. He never knows how to read the room properly.

"He's just kidding dear. This is lovely.The aroma and the taste of this dish is great." Father says back to her

"Thank you. It took us some time but we finished it right before you guys got here." she says happy

"Us?" Father asks

"Yes, me. Your lovely wife helped too!" mom says back to father

"Wow! I can't believe you cooked something too. This is more than just a treat for us males. Thank you, my wife." Father says back to mother and gives her a big peck

"Yes thanks to both of you. This was the best treat ever." Pete says back to them

"This is very delicious. You guys did great. How did you guys figure something like this out? Usually we don't cook fish and with all the new improvements I am a fan. What has changed?" I ask them

"It was my female." Jee says walking in with some more fish

His female? When, how and who is this female he speaks of.
