Lets Play Sim City

"yes, and we can discuss that in detail later. First, while a sect operates like a kingdom, it is different in that power is the most important thing in a sect. With sufficient strength, almost anything can be obtained. We don't deal in politics unless it is things outside the sect. A sect hierarchy is important, but basically, anyone who is a disciple is a citizen, and anyone, not a disciple, is a foreigner." I say, trying my best to describe a sect in a way they can understand.

"My sect will keep everything involving the internals of the sect private from the rest of the world. But have no problem doing business or trading. We will post a sales tax on products sold. All buildings will be exchanged with the city for magic stones. I will need a group to work as a council to manage the outer city. This council will make decisions on everything that lies in it. Like a feudal lord, you will pay the taxes requested by the sect. In exchange, the sect will provide security and give preferential treatment to the council members for recommendations to the sect. Are you following so far."

"So for our side, you want us, who will be on the council to run and manage all the affairs and just give you the tax like a king. You will also keep your knowledge and strength system to those who join the sect, and you'll use a military force to ensure it stays in your control." One of the merchants asks back, a bit of disdain on his face.

"You could see it that way. In truth, I plan for all the elders to be picked by Altina, Celene, Starla, and Aziz, as they are my most trusted confidants. After their strength reaches my minimum threshold, I will allow them to determine who to recruit for disciples. Depending on their hard work, we will recruit in roughly 6 months." I replied.

"I am a merchant in charge of lower-class beings. Those who are born or sold to slavery as well as brothels. Currently, I have ten thousand laborers available, all listed as slaves that were planned for the conflict happening in Warusa. If you have the capital, you can have them to use as you please." A noble lady with more gems than a jeweler jumps into the conversation.

I could use them as a base force for the sect as we have plenty of new training facilities. They could make good guards and handymen. If there are good seedlings, we could use them to fill the first generation of the sect. The only issue would be loyalty. I wonder if I put Celene in charge of them. Maybe we could use her angelic nature to charm them into loyalty, though it could backfire and create a cult. I have seen cults made for less than her cuteness.

"what's the price in magic stones you want for all of them. And I hope you have a discount for first-time buyers in bulk." I respond back to her.

"fifty thousand, 5 a head flat rate. There are a total of eight thousand men and two thousand women. Everyone is combat capable, though all of them are level one; they have been trained as soldiers. They just chose the wrong side of a rebellion and got sold into slavery. Their emperor wanted them to fight someone else war and suffer blah blah. The emperor deserves a beating, but what can you do." She replied while making small talk.

"I agree to your deal. In the future, I will buy any debt slaves and other non-criminal slaves you acquire. So long as they pass a basic screening from our formations, we will buy them in intervals of 6 months for the next 2 years. You can draft the contract and take it to Celene to bring you to get it signed and transfer the existing slaves once everyone is settled in."

"it will be done at once. Thank you." She curtsied as a sign of respect.

"What is your plan for food to feed everyone." The merchant, who looks like a burly farmer, asks.

"Well, I am open to suggestions, Sandy. Display a comprehensive hologram of sect structures, please."

A hologram of the sect appears in blue light rendered in three dimensions. Sunny takes a quick look over everything for a moment and has an idea.

"sandy, calculate and display options for a terraced agriculture layout leading to a successive inner wall," I asked as the rendering flashed into a couple iterations before stopping on one with 8 steppes attached to the inner wall of each ring. "Accept changes and apply by opening.

"That should be plenty of acreages to supply the city for sure what's your planting plan." He asked again.

"your wrong, sir. I will not be developing the planting and use plan. Same as everything else, you're the council. It's your plan. I'd also like to commission you to design a planting rotation plan for the steppes inside the sect to be used for the sect. I would prefer a large variety and high-quality options, and of course, your discretion is always appreciated." I replied back, making a smile appear on the man's face like his dreams had come true.

"Aziz, register with Celene as the Commerce Elder. Once you're registered, you should be able to access layouts for the outer city as well as costs to facilitate the final construction of buildings. Remember, any major changes cost mana crystals, so make the merchants pay for it in them. For this batch you brought, you guys can exchange it for food and other resources. Everything possible we need is listed in the interface you get after registration. Come see me later once everyone is settled in. I honestly need to sleep till tomorrow if possible."

"Yes, Goddess. Anything else you require." Aziz bows respectfully, seeing how almost everything is handled.

"Ah yes, once everything is set, see to our new guests from the other side. And until I call for you, just let me rest. Sandy can do anything needed, including apprehending criminals up to tier 4 and repelling the siege of an army." I replied back as I made my way to the new sect masters chambers for my super fluffy bed. He will figure it out between the people he brought and Altina. They can make it work.
