With startling speed, she pulled me with her and leaped away from the spot.

As Elizabeth yanked me off the ground, I barely had time to process what was happening. The others below stared up at us, their expressions just as dumbfounded as I felt. But amidst the confusion, I caught a glimpse of Cylien and Rodolf. Their pitying looks only added to my growing sense of unease.

I was literally floating mid-air, flailing like a fish out of water. Flying wasn't exactly in my repertoire! But Elizabeth didn't respond. Her cheeks were flushed, and the strange smile on her lips sent a shiver racing down my spine.
