Arcturus wasted no time in going to his destination. At least a dozen other vampires from the three different covens tried to stop him in the hall, to which he ignored. Not all, but most of them glared at Thane, some of them wondering if they could kill the human before the Lord of the Hold took notice.
It was only a fleeting thought however, none were as quick as Arcturus, and somehow this human had bested him.
And so they stepped aside and remained silent when Lord Varujan ignored them.
Arcturus led Thane to an elevator that descended six floors below the Hold. Once they reached the bottom, they entered another door leading to a stairwell going further down. Thane looked on in amazement; while the estate above was massive, what existed below was easily three to four times more extensive in size.
“I must say,” Thane remarked, “This is all rather impressive.”
Arcturus turned his head slightly to acknowledge he heard the Ambassador. “Is that sarcasm, Master Edwards?”
