"So my theory that his method will lead us to something substantial was a bust" Kory said and sighed. 


"Well it adds to your profile at the very least" Carter replied absentmindedly, scrolling through his phone. 


"Hmm. Sure" Kory said too with about as much attention as Carter was giving to their conversation. She stood in front of her murder board and was shuffling the pictures into what fit and what didn't, different patterns and such. 


Kory turned to a suddenly excited looking Carter. 


"I found those sites you were talking about" he said with a smirk. 


"Pretty interesting um, what do we call them... Fanfictions!" 


The sites were chalk full of different ladies and some men writing fantasies about the billionaire turned hero. There were so many of them. And frankly, Kory spent more time reading them than she should have.
