Chapter 10

You ought to have seen your head fly back! Tom excitedly made fun of his pal.

"Why do they even make us participate in this sport? They are aware that we will never be as excellent as the competition. Should we just return home and play games?" Jordan continued, but Christian did not respond to this either.

Jordan felt horrible.

"How's Helena doing these days?" Jordan attempted to alter the conversation by asking.

"You can't date her since she's already dating Jayden," Christian retorted while still stuffing tissues up his nose.

"I did not intend it that way. Even though she is extremely beautiful. However, I barely know Jayden. He doesn't even talk to us that much. Nevertheless, she will never be as gorgeous as Yoshi. I can already envision it: in a few years, she will be my wife. We'll have a large family, a great house, and plenty of sex ", Jordan remarked smiling adjusting his hat.

A mental image of a thin, voluptuous female with long brown hair and well-shaped, huge eyes began to form in Jordan's thoughts. His vision was just mildly impaired in one region. They were the size of watermelons, not melons.

Christian sighed in defeat, knowing that he could soon have to visit his friend in jail for assault. Christian felt the same way as Jordan about Yoshi, she was beautiful, humble, and intelligent. But Christian never met her in person unlike Jordan so he's never really spoke to her at all. He'll be the judge of her beauty if he ever sees her in person, face to face.

After attending the nurse's office to have his nose examined, he confirmed what he had already suspected. His nose wasn't fractured, just really swollen and bruised. The nurse suggested he visit the hospital to ensure there are no fractures and receive a checkup.

Christian responded, "Thank you, I'll be sure to look into it!"

Jordan said, "See ya later, bro, I still have another class."

As soon as he exited the school gate, he began sprinting as fast as possible to get home. Due to their small town, it was faster for him to run than to take the bus. Not to add, he wanted to avoid taking the bus for another reason. Considering that he could be back home in ten minutes if he rushed, he didn't want to spend any money on it.

The streets of his area were littered, and there was graffiti near the apartment buildings. He was aware that their neighborhood was inferior to others.

It was not the worst place to reside, but neither was it the greatest.

When he finally reached his front door, he was huffing and puffing louder than Jordan had been on the field.

He took a moment to gather his breath before entering his residence.

Christian hastily changed his clothing in the living room before rushing out the door and out of the house. On his walk, he was constantly checking the clock on his phone, and it was now 1:30.

I made it with even a little time to spare.

He was standing in front of a well-known storage facility. A sign above him read "Basement."

"I promise to improve my life," Christian thought as he entered the building.

Christian has been keeping a huge secret. He's been going to work to not just make money but, learn how to become a Celestial Summoner like his heroes. Christian doesn't know where he goes to get training is targeted for it's Data Files, because others want to gain a Celestial Beast to become one with.

"Hello!" Christian shouted, "I'm here." His voice echoed slightly, but there was no reply.

Tired of waiting, Christian started to walk around, checking if anyone was here.

Christian kept walking Inside intel he was greeted by a group of men in suits. The sole person seated on one of the sofas was a man smoking a cigarette at the back. Two additional men stood close to him, clearly serving as his bodyguards.

The man said with a smirk, "I've been waiting for you, youngster," as he exhaled a plume of smoke.

Christian's heart sunk when he saw people in his job he didn't know.

"Who are you guys, what do you want", said Christian afraid.

The room went silent.
