Chapter 94
Aiden Joseph was presently fleeing for his life after learning that Kayla Ano intended to break their agreement and kill Helena now that she'd become Soul Sakura, and he knew he needed to get away and warn her. He wasn't sure he'd live long enough to alert anyone because the Iset Facility was deep in the cold mountains of Alaska, far from civilization, and he was being pursued by many Iset warriors, including Rowan River.
"You'll never get away, Aiden!" Rowan yelled at him as he fired a beam from his cybernetic eye at Aiden, who jumped out of the way in time but was hit in the leg by another soldier.
"Aiden, you have one opportunity. Come back with us and do your work, or you will die this time." Rowan stated.
"Rowan, you broke our agreement. We agreed that in exchange for my assistance, you would leave my family and friends alone." Aiden stated.
"Helena Cummings' decision to become Soul Sakura changed everything. She is a threat to Iset, and threats must be dealt with." Rowan stated.
"I will not assist you in your attempt to murder my friend." Aiden stated.
"She is not your pal. She, like the MRC, is a parasite who harms you and your family. You could have prevented all of this if you had simply turned her over to me all those years ago." Aiden informed him.
"I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat." Aiden stated.
"That's OK. Aiden, farewell." Rowan remarked as he raised his rifle, only to be startled by a peculiar noise, just as two yellow beams of light-struck Rowan dead center in the chest, sending him falling backwards.
"What the hell?" Aiden inquired as he turned to see Helena standing there, clad in her winter Soul Sakura outfit, her eyes still lighting blue with power, and she wasn't the only one standing there. There was also Caleb, who Aiden recognized right away, and a brunette woman dressed in an orange and white suit. A dark-haired bearded man wearing a reverse color scheme version of the Microsoft X suit minus the X, but it was Emma wearing a DEO tactical uniform that drew his attention. He recognized her even after all this time. Both of his students had reached adulthood.
"You." Rowan said, though no one could tell whether he was speaking to Helena or Caleb.
"Target, put him down." Helena nodded, and the woman in blue and white did as well.
"With delight." As Helena and Caleb flew up fast and wiped out the remaining troops as Emma hurried up to her father, Target shouted as his fist glowed with blue energy and blasted Rowan back.
"Are you okay, Dad?" Emma inquired.
"Yes, except for being shot. How did you find me, or how did you even know I was alive?" Aiden inquired as Helena and Caleb arrived.
"Do your thing, Caleb." Caleb nodded as he leaned down and restored Aiden's memories, as Helena said.
"You came for me, Emma, Helena, and Caleb." As he recovered from the headache Caleb had given him, as well as the recollections of his previous existence, Aiden said.
"We, of course, did. Emma, how serious is the damage?" Helena inquired.
"He's losing blood quickly." Emma stated.
"I can cauterize it to buy time till he returns to the Tower." Helena stated.
"Do it." As Helena did the same, Aiden braced himself for the pain.
"Done," Helena declared.
"All right, let's get out of here." Emma stated.
"You can't go yet." Aiden replied, grimacing despite the agony.
"Why not?" Helena inquired.
"Because the Iset facility from which I escaped held other alien detainees." Aiden stated.
"So, we can't leave just yet. Emma, bring Aiden back to the Tower because you're the only one of us with medical knowledge." Helena spoke forward, and Emma nodded.
"Wait a minute, the entire facility is protected by power dampeners." As Scotty came over the comms, Aiden murmured.
"Actually, Helena, Nia, and Mon-El won't have any trouble with that because when Lena and I improved your rings, we also gave them the ability to circumvent power dampening equipment." Scotty stated.
"Awesome," murmured Soul Sakura.
"And how about me?" Caleb inquired.
"I have another version of the tech here at the tower that I can deliver to you and then transmat you back to the facility if you come back with Emma." As the transmat portal reopened, Scotty said.
"Where is the restroom?" Helena inquired of Aiden.
"A couple miles down the road." As he pointed back in the direction he'd come from, Aiden said.
"I'll be waiting for you there." Caleb remarked this as he assisted Emma in carrying Aiden through the portal.
"All right, then, let's get started." As Sakura, Valor, and Target soared near the facility, Soul Sakura stated.
When the trio arrived at the complex, Soul Sakura flew through the roof, and Dark Ox and Target followed her.
However, the instant Helena entered the facility, she nearly fell out of the sky because to the amount of Corrupted Alienware kept there, and Dark Ox was only just in time to grab her.
"Scotty, this place is full of Alienware, and it's already hurting Helena." Target stated over the phone.
"Instruct Dark Ox to place the symbol on her costume. Microsoft X included an unexpected surprise." Scotty remarked this as Dark Ox tapped the S on Helena's suit, and Helena was quickly encased by the Alienware suit Microsoft X had made her for the first time and had evidently done so again.
"Are you okay, Soul Sakura?" As Helena regained consciousness, Dark Ox inquired.
"Yeah. Please remind me to thank the boss for making the suit later." As they were encircled by Iset agents, Helena shook off the dizziness.
"We have you surrounded," stated the chief agent.
"Perhaps, but you're outmatched." Soul Sakura inquired as she flew skyward before slamming her fist into the ground, generating a shockwave that sent the Iset warriors flying back and knocking most of them unconscious.
"I wish I could kiss you without your helmet." Helena grinned from beneath the visor as Dark Ox remarked.
"Come on, let's find the security center so we can free the captives and turn off the power dampeners." Helena murmured this as a transmitter gateway opened up and Caleb jumped out, wearing a new bracelet.
"Do you have a bypass device?" Caleb nodded as Soul Sakura inquired.
"Scotty also handed me this hacker so that he could gain access to Iset's system from the Tower. We simply need to install it on their PCs." Caleb stated.
"Let's get started." As they entered the facility, Soul Sakura said.
