CHAPTER TWO

ACE HIGH SCHOOL.

"Good bye students" Mr Sheldon said and walked out of the class.

Half of the students rushed out of the class immediately.

"I can't wait for music class" Zendaya grinned.

"Hey, black monkey, this is a class not a zoo,I wonder what a monkey like you is doing in the midst of human" Cadence said with hatred.

"Mind your words Cadence, she's not an animal" Maximilian warned.

"She is an animal and she deserves to be in the zoo,we don't want black people here in this school,they stink a lot and they are very ugly, do you all agree with me?" Cadence asked the class.

"Yes!" The students replied.

"The three of you are the biggest fool I've ever met" Zendaya said with a frown.

"You're the one who is a fool"Lavender fired back.

"You said I look like a black monkey but you all look like a blobfish" Zendaya said.

"You.."

"Enough of all this" Maximilian interrupted Cadence.

You guys started it first,so why y'all so pained?" Maximilian asked with a frown.

"Max, why are you being so nosy?, this is a matter between girls so stop involving yourself" Leonideus said with a frown.

"Really?, your girlfriend and her friends are insulting my friend and you expect me not to get involved?" Maximilian asked angrily.

"Your black friend also insulted his girlfriend, dude" Thaddeus said.

"And I didn't move an inch, you should warn your black monkey to stay away from my girl" Leonideus said.

"You should also warn your blobfish girlfriend to stay away from my friend" Maximilian spat.

"How dare you?" Leonideus asked angrily and moved closer to Maximilian.

"Watch your mouth else, I'm gonna make you regret your words" Leonideus said angrily with his index finger pointed at Maximilian.

Blythe stared at Maximilian angrily, the fact that he is exchanging words with Leonideus, because of Zendaya is really getting her furious.

"Really?..., what if I do not watch my mouth, what are you gonna do, huh?" Maximilian asked.

Leonideus and Maximilian both glared at each other. The look on their faces shows that they're going to attack each other any moment from now.

Zendaya suddenly grabbed Maximilian's hand.

"Come on, let's go, I'm sure we're late for class" Zendaya said.

Maximilian gave Leonideus a deadly glare and walked out with Zendaya.

Leonideus sneered.

Cadence suddenly hugged Leonideus.

"Babe, I'm sorry you almost got into a fight with that fool" Cadence apologized with a cute face.

"It's fine, I'll do anything and fight anyone for you, sweetheart" Leonideus said and pecked her lips.

"I love you" Cadence said.

"I love you more" Leonideus responded.

The both of them locked lips, kissing each other tenderly.

Thaddeus, Lavender and Blythe cleared their throats.

"You guys should get a room please, stop oppressing the single ones" Thaddeus said and walked out.

Lavender and Blythe also walked out, since the couples are still busy with each other.

MUSIC CLASS.

"The vocal contest is coming up soon,so if you're interested in this contest, kindly raise your hand" The music teacher,Mrs Falgon said.

"Wait...,are the contestants going to stand on a stage and sing in front of invitees?" Zendaya asked Maximilian.

"Nope, The contestants are going to sing anonymously" Maximilian answered.

"I'm sorry for asking you a dumb question but what do you mean by the contestants are going to sing anonymously?" Zendaya asked with confusion.

"The contestants voices can only be heard but they can't be seen until the winner is announced, don't worry you're gonna understand soon" Maximilian said.

"You can start raising up your hands if you're interested" Mrs Falgon said.

Cadence was the first person to raise her hand and Mrs Falgon wrote her name down. Some other students also raised their hands and their names were written down.

"I wanna contest too" Zendaya whispered to Maximilian.

"What are you waiting for?" Maximilian asked.

Zendaya raised her hand and all eyes fell on her.

"Hey black monkey,this contest is meant for people with a good vocal and not croaked voice people like you" Blythe said.

Everyone but Maximilian burst into laughter.

"I would have given you a befitting response,but my mom taught me to pity the less privileged,I am so sorry for you" Zendaya said.

"Oh my goodness" Maximilian said and started laughing.

Everyone eyed him.

Blythe clenched her fist in anger.

"Wow, so monkeys are also given home training?,but your mama made a big mistake by giving you one, cause you're just too foolish to be trained" Cadence said and folded her arms.

Zendaya clapped her hands.

"A round of applause goes to you for giving me a piece of totally useless information, remind me that you are on my list of unimportant things next time" Zendaya said and rolled her eyes.

"Oops!,that was huge"Maximilian said.

"Enough of all this insolent act" Mrs Falgon yelled.

Cadence glared at Zendaya.

Zendaya stuck out her tongue and looked away.

"Black girl, what's your name?" Mrs Falgon asked with a frown.

"Zendaya Caddel" Zendaya said and Mrs Falgon wrote her name.

" You all should come for your identification number later, and remember the rule of this contest, you're not allowed to tell anyone your identity number and you must not campaign for yourself , else you're going to get disqualified" Mrs Falgon announced to the contestants.

"Have a nice day" Mrs Falgon said and walked out.

The three Amigos stood up and went to Zendaya.

"If you're here to threaten me, that's not gonna work" Zendaya said.

"Yes, we're here to threaten you, a big snake is behind you,so watch out" Cadence said.

"I do kill snakes,big ones to be precise" Zendaya said with a smile.

"Oh yeah, this girl really got some nerves"Lavender said.

"Max, let's get out of here, I hate staying in the midst of fools" Zendaya said while eyeing them,then she stood up.

Blythe made an attempt to attack her but Cadence stopped her.

Zendaya and Maximilian walked out of the music class.

"Gosh,I hate her guts, how dare she insult my role models" A junior student said with a frown.

"I'm sure Senior Cadence won't let this slide, she's sure going to deal with her" Another one said.

"I wonder what senior Max saw in that gorilla" Another one said.

"Senior Max is just too cute for her" Another one said.

"That's enough now, everyone should get back to their various classes"Leonideus commanded loudly.

CLOSING HOUR.

"I never knew you had a sharp mouth" Maximilian said.

"They provoked me, I'm not someone who usually talk back at people" Zendaya explained.

"But do you really have a good voice?" Maximilian asked.

"Are you doubting me?" Zendaya asked with an arched brow.

"Nope, I was only asking" Maximilian replied.

The honk of a car distracted them .

"My driver is here, do you mind if I take you home?" Maximilian asked.

"I don't" Zendaya replied.

The both of them got into the car.

" Good day to you young master" The driver greeted and ignited the car engine.

"We're dropping her off" Maximilian said to the driver.

The driver nodded and zoomed off.

Zendaya and Maximilian kept on chatting and bantering till the car halted in front of Zendaya's house.

Zendaya bid Maximilian good bye and alighted from the car, then the car zoomed off.

Zendaya smiled and walked into the house.

She met her mother glaring hard at her.

"Good..."

She was interrupted with a slap from her mother.

"Who's that guy...?"
