CHAPTER EIGHT

"You all did well on this project. See you next class" Mr Sheldon said and left the class.

"Really?,I can't believe we scored 92% in this project. We could have scored at least 99%,if not for your foolishness" Leonideus complained.

"Hey, don't blame me for your misfortune"Zendaya warned while glaring at him.

"It's your misfortune not mine. You ruined this project because of your stupidity,I thought you were the most brilliant person on earth, until you couldn't pronounce crystallization correctly, I knew everything was ruined. One of the average students scored more than us. Shame on you"Leonideus spat.

Zendaya bit her lips and scoffed.

"It was a slip of tongue you idiot. Everyone is above mistake"Zendaya said.

"Slip of tongue my foot,if your tongue isn't functioning well,cut it off".

"Do you think you're any better. Wait...,I did the most in this project, you didn't do anything tangible,all you did was sit down and watch. And now, you're complaining" Zendaya replied.

"Whatever,miss cystallisation" Leonideus mimicked and burst into laughter.

"Says someone who doesn't know the five main inorganic compounds" Zendaya said and folded her arms.

Leonideus opened his mouth to fire words back at her,but unfortunately,no words came out. He was speechless.

"Oh!, why are you speechless?. You should just keep on blabbing like an imbecile you are" Zendaya said fiercely.

"How dare you call me an imbecile?, you mannerless black girl" Leonideus retorted.

"Oh!, I'm so sorry daddy, you should have given me home training since you have one" Zendaya mocked.

Leonideus gave her a deadly glare.

Cadence walked over to them.

"Leo baby, why are you here with this classless, shameless, stupid girl... no, I mean monkey or should I say rat?" Cadence said while glaring daggers at Zendaya.

"Miss blobfish, you're here. I've been expecting to come here and spew out rubbish from your infected mouth, your just like a bacteria yunno" Zendaya said with a smirk.

Cadence exhaled angrily.

"Whoa!.You've actually gotten the liver to talk back" Cadence said while trying to calm herself down.

"Precisely,I have nothing to say to dimwits like you both" Zendaya said and made to leave,but she stopped on her tracks and faced Leonideus.

"Don't you ever scold me again, I'm not your daughter or little sis. If you badly wanna scold someone, do that to your stupid girlfriend and her puppies" Zendaya warned fiercely and walked away.

"I hate that girl" Cadence screamed.

"No, we hate her a lot" Leonideus said.

SCHOOL YARD

Zendaya brought out a novel from her bag titled; THE SKY IS FALLING. By, Sidney Sheldon. She opened the first page and focused her attention on the book.

"Hey, munchkin " Maximilian said and sat beside her.

"I'm not your child,bro".

Maximilian chuckled slightly.

"I'm not your bro, call me a sweet name" Maximilian said with a smirk.

"What type of sweet are you?"

Maximilian blinked cutely.

" I think bonbon is cute" Zendaya said.

"Nevermind" He said.

Zendaya smirked and diverted her attention back to the novel.

Maximilian couldn't help but to stare at her cute face, his lips curved into a bonny smile.

"Gosh, how can she be so pretty?, She's a beautiful goddess" He admired.

Zendaya diverted her eyes to him and their eyes met. Maximilian felt butterflies in his belly as they made eye contact.

"Hey, why are you staring?"She asked, but got no reply.

"Her voice is like that of an angel" Maximilian said inwardly.

"Max" She called and tapped him.

He came back into reality.

"Oh...yes...yes... yeah" He stuttered.

"Is there something on my face?, you were staring".

"Of course, there's something on your face" Maximilian responded.

Zendaya brought her hands to her face.

"It's your beauty" Maximilian said with a grin.

Zendaya was astonished and blushing at the same time.

"Thank you".

"I can't wait to hear your angelic voice at tomorrow's competition" Maximilian said, changing the topic.

"I'm nervous though,I haven't done this before, I don't even think I can do it" She said.

"And so?. Look, the fact that you haven't done something before, doesn't mean you can't do it. You have to try something new one day, that's how we live. Don't let anyone pull your faith down, you have to believe in yourself that you are the best in this year's vocals" He advised.

"Thanks for the encouragement " She said with a smile.

"Welcome" He replied.

"Uh!, I've got to go now, I have a lot on my desk,see you next class" He said.

"Sure".

He stood up and felt lightheaded. He sat down abruptly. Zendaya stood up and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Are you ok?" She asked with solicitude.

"I felt lightheaded, but I'm fine now" He said.

Zendaya took her bag, brought out a bottled water .

"Drink some water,it will make you feel better" She said while stretching the bottle to him.

"I'm really fine" He said.

Zendaya glared at him, he pouted and took the water from her. He opened the bottle and drank the whole water without leaving a drop.

"Are you feeling better now?, or should I take you to the sick bay?" .

" No, I'm fine" He replied.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Of course Mummy, I am" He said and they burst into laughter.

The three Amigos were staring at them from a far distance. Blythe is burning with rage.

"I hate seeing them together" Blythe fumed.

"Are you sure this two are not in love?. Their behavior towards each other tells it all" Lavender said .

Blythe and Cadence glared at her.

"What?, I'm only saying what I observed about them" Lavender said, tore the wrapper of a sweet and threw it her mouth.

"She stole Maximilian from me" Blythe said.

"I thought the two of you broke up,so how did she... yunno?" Lavender said.

"Shut your mouth" Cadence slammed with a hard glare.

"Ok, I'm sorry, I was only joking"Lavender said.

"Gosh... I'm so heartbroken, I can't believe Max dumped me for that ugly shit" Blythe cried.

Cadence patted her back.

"The vocals is tomorrow, don't you think we should play with Zendaya a little?,it's going to be fun yunno"Lavender said with a grin.

"Yeah... let's kidnap her or something,so she won't be able to attend the contest. It's going to be a great loss for her. What a loser" Blythe said with an evil smirk.

Cadence shook her head.

"Nah, I don't want to harm her tomorrow, she's not gonna win anyways,no one is going to vote for a black monkey" Cadence said confidently.

"People are going to vote for the voice and not the person. Everyone is singing anonymously. Only the voice can be heard. So don't be too confident about Zendaya being a loser in this contest" Lavender said.

"She's surely gonna loose, no voice can beat mine. I'm Cadence, remember" Cadence boasted.

"I've heard Zendaya singing once, so I doubt you" Lavender said

"Can you be positive for once" Blythe and Cadence said simultaneously.

Lavender shrugged.

Blythe and Cadence gave her a deadly glare and walked away angrily.

"The truth they, say is bitter. But I'm sorry though" Lavender said loudly, running after them.
