CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Zendaya admired the gentleness of the atmosphere as she strolled into the school premises. She bit her lips and smiled as the memories of the previous day rushed back into her head.

"A beautiful morning to the one who stole my heart", Maximilian said and wrapped his arm around her shoulder,then he pecked her lips.

Zendaya couldn't stop herself from blushing.

"You're making my heart flutter",Zendaya said with a grin.

Maximilian leaned and pecked her lips. Zendaya felt butterflies in her belly.

"You're unbelievable", Zendaya said.

Maximilian interlocked their hands and strode into class.

Blythe's eyes followed them until they sat down.

"Black,black,black sheep,have you many wool?", Leonideus sang.

"Yes sir,yes sir,three bags full", Cadence,Thaddeus and Remington chorused.

"One for the puppet and one for the fool", Lavender continued.

"And all for the stupid ones whose brain never grew", Zendaya ended the song with a smirk.

Cadence stood up angrily and walked over to Zendaya.

"And who gave an alien like you the right to hurl insults at humans?", Cadence asked.

"I guess I'm right afterall. Your brain never grew and it never will", Zendaya said with a shrug.

Cadence clenched her fists.

"Well,you can take your leave now. My girlfriend wants her peace", Maximilian said.

The whole class looked at them in awe.

Blythe frowned and hissed.

"Yuck!", Cadence said with disgust and walked away.

"Shout out to the latest couple", Midas said loudly with an applaud and Blythe glared daggers at him.

Garrison stood up.

"Guess what peeps?" , He said and everyone focused on him.

"I'm throwing a night party this saturday,cause it's my birthday and y'all are invited", He said and everyone cheered.

The closing bell rang and almost everyone rushed out. Both Maximilian and Zendaya also stood up to leave the class.

"Ouch!", Maximilian winced while touching his chest and grabbed on to the desk for support,maling Zendaya scared.

"What's wrong with you?", Zendaya asked worriedly.

"Your beauty touched my heart", He said with a smile.

Zendaya exhaled.

"Gosh!. You're unbelievable. I was scared", Zendaya said pout.

Maximilian held her hand and looked straight into her eyes,with his heart thumping heavily.

"I don't want to leave you", He said with a bit of sorrow in his voice.

"Are you planning to leave?", Zendaya asked with a quizzical look.

"No...I mean...I won't leave you alone",He stuttered and pecked her lips,then he rested his head on her shoulder.

Blythe's eyes turned bloodshot and she began to shiver.

"That witch", She gritted her teeth.

"Maximilian is mine only", She said angrily.

"That was then. Obviously,he is happy with someone else",Lavender said.

Blythe glared at her.

"Sometimes, I wonder if you're truly my friend or you just like acting dumb?. Wait... obviously you're dumb", Blythe said angrily.

Lavender clicked her tongue.

Blythe rolled her eyes and focused back on Zendaya and Maximilian.

"This can't go on", She said and made a move to walk to them,but Cadence held her arm.

"Overlook this. The fool doesn't deserve you one bit. You're way beyond his his league Blythe", Cadence said softly.

Blythe gave a wry laugh.

"I don't need your lectures before I need to know who deserves me",She said and brushed her hand away, before walking over to them.

"What in the hell do you think you're doing?",Blythe asked with a frown.

Zendaya looked at her in confusion.

"What do you mean?",Zendaya asked.

"I wasn't talking to you,Monkey", Blythe said with a frown.

"Hey!.I won't let you talk to my girlfriend rudely in front of me", Maximilian said furiously.

"Oh !.Wow!",Blythe smirked and faced Zendaya.

"Did he even tell you anything about us?",Blythe asked.

"What's that?", Zendaya asked.

"Oh!. Why did you keep this from your so called GIRLFRIEND?", Blythe said with a smirk.

Zendaya gave Maximilian a confused look.

"So sad he didn't tell you about our love story", Blythe said with a smirk.

"You're in my past now, BLYTHE COLLOYMORE. You will forever be my regretful past,cause I regret every single thing I had with you",Maximilian yelled.

Blythe shook her head and faced Zendaya.

"Do you think staying with someone who doesn't tell you things about himself is the best option?",Blythe asked amd tucked Zendaya's hair behind her ear.

"I'm sure you heard him right,that's if you're not deaf. You're a thing of the past,so deal with it",Zendaya said to her face.

Blythe glared daggers at her and Zendaya smirked.

"You didn't even break up with me", Blythe said to Maximilian.

Maximilian rolled his eyes in disdain.

"I broke up with you a long time ago. I broke up with you in the school garden.But for the sake of your amnesia,I will kindly repeat myself. I don't love you anymore Blythe. You're evil and I'm breaking up with you", Maximilian said furiously.

Cadence and Lavender looked at each other with shock on their faces.

Blythe felt her knees weaken.

"It's very tough to chase a Goat away",Blythe said and walked out of the class in embarrassment and anger.

Maximilian faced Zendaya and held her hand.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you",Maximilian apologized.

"Past and present have nothing to do with each other",Zendaya said.

Maximilian smiled and hugged her.

"Awwn!. Look at those love birds",Lavender admired.

"I'm sure Blythe isn't going to make things easy for them", Cadence said.

"I'm here to help", Remington said with a wink.

"Don't you think your reckless life is going to affect your daughter", Papa Coco almost yelled.

Megan rolled her eyes.

"Do I look like I care?", Megan said.

"Why are you treating your own daughter with so much disdain?. The only mistake she made was being your daughter ,nothing else", Papa Coco said furiously.

"She made a huge mistake coming into this world through me. She ruined my life and shattered my hopes", Megan yelled.

"No,she never did anything to you,MEGAN JAOMI CADDEL. Zendaya is your flesh and blood for heaven's sake",Papa Coco said.

"I wish I can change that,cause she inflicts nothing but pain. I've been carrying out my responsibilities on her,so what more do you want?",Megan asked.

"Let her feel that motherly love",Papa Coco said.

Megan giggled.

"That's impossible and it will remain that way till kingdom comes", Megan said.

"What the hell is wrong with you Megan?. Where is the innocent lady I raised?", Papa Coca asked.

"The lady you raised died a long time ago, when you failed to listen to her", Megan yelled.

"I supported you", Papa Coco yelled.

"When you never had a choice", Megan yelled back and walked away angrily.

Papa Coco legs weaken and he sat on the sofa sadly.

Megan's words played loud music in his ears.

"Granny", Zendaya called,but he is far gone in his own thoughts and it made Zendaya worried.

"Mr Collins Caddel", She called and tapped his shoulder twice,before he jolted back to planet Earth.

"Are you okay?", Zendaya asked.

"Of course darling,I am", He said and put on a smile.

"But you look tensed and you didn't even notice when I came in", Zendaya said.

"I'm only stressed out", He defended his actions.

"Oh!.Ok!.So one of my classmates is having his birthday this weekend. Night party though and I promise to be safe",Zendaya said.

"I never said you could go", Papa Coco said.

"If it's about Mom,I promise you, she won't find out",Zendaya said.

"You're too young to be out all alone", Papa Coco said.

"I'm 17".

"What if something bad happens?

"Stop assuming Gramps. I will be safe I promise.Besides,it's just a sleepover,we're not going clubbing", Zendaya said.

Papa Coco stared at her for a while.

"Ok, fine.Permission granted.But make sure you get back home before your Mother and she must not find out about this"

"Thanks so much Gramps.You're the best", Zendaya pecked him.
