CHAPTER 21: SRAD

Sarah made several trips to the city before leaving, where she bought stock for the tuck shop, animal feed for her livestock, and ingredients for the beauty cream.

When everything was finished, Sarah returned to Belmore, this time to see O'Neal and spend a few days with him before departing for Srad, Laswait's vice capital city.

She didn't know when she'd have time to see O'Neal again because she was so busy, so she was going to enjoy it while she could.

O'Neal was the happiest; after not seeing his beloved for weeks, he was a little stressed.

Although they talked on the phone almost every day, the empty feeling inside him didn't go away.

And, knowing Sarah was coming over, O'Neal cleaned up his place, stocked the pantry with food, and waited for her.

Sarah was pleased with how O'Neal appeared. She could tell he was content, and from what he had told her, she knew he had made some new friends, all of whom were very nice and friendly to him. This was a good thing, and it deserved to be celebrated.

O'Neal, who had missed his lover and mother, quickly transformed into a baby, which Sarah spoiled for the next two days.

The two were obviously intimate and showed each other how much they missed each other, and soon, Sarah's departure date arrived.

O'Neal knew how to drive and had a driver's license, so he drove Sarah to the airport and returned the SUV to his apartment complex. He had no intention of driving himself to school.

This wasn't his car, and he didn't like driving it. He has recently been making some small moves and earning some money. And he believes it won't be long before he saves enough money to buy a small car to use.

Sarah took the business class to Srad, and because she was traveling, she wore her favorite regalia, which usually included a dress or something with a veil.

Despite the fact that it had rained heavily the night before, she dressed in baby yellow for this trip. A pair of loose trousers hid beneath a three-quarter dress with short sleeves embroidered with bamboo shoots at the hem and a lovely butterfly brooch completed the look.

Sarah takes pride in her appearance, so she wore green head ornaments that matched the bamboo shoots on her dress.

The other piece of jewelry she wore was a golden forefinger nail armor on her left hand. She didn't put on any more jewelry after that.

To be honest, her attire was very distinctive, and she drew a lot of attention. Things they cannot see have always intrigued people. They could tell she was wealthy and came from a wealthy family, but they were curious about her true identity.

Why was she concealing her face behind that veil? Is she beautiful or just an ugly duckling?

These questions went unanswered because the person in question was busy looking up places to visit once she arrived in Srad on her tablet.

Sarah had already reserved a hotel room before leaving, so her lodging needs were taken care of. She no longer has anyone close to her in Srad. She had lost everything, including her colleagues, friends, and acquittances.

When they realized she was in trouble, they fled quickly and severed all ties with her. Srad was another city she didn't want to visit on her own, but because the system had specifically chosen that city for her, she decided to go.

She will count it as facing her fears early and gaining the courage to face some people or do other things she couldn't do before.

The flight from Belmore to Srad took three hours; Belmore was quite far from the major cities, so traveling was difficult.

Srad is a beautiful city with a population of over one million people. Many people will emigrate to the big cities from their small cities, towns, or villages, causing the big cities to become overcrowded.

This, however, does not prevent these cities from expanding and improving.

It was always the norm in cities like these to find some large families who practically run the cities like their own. Offending these families' scions is like inviting the angel of death into your own home.

Sarah's family business had little impact on Srad at the time, but her family was acquainted with some families there, and she was also friends with some.

Most of those people have their own families, while others have died or moved away. The most important thing is that she currently does not have a single friend who lives in Srad, so she will be completely alone.

Sarah stretched her body three hours later as she watched other passengers being greeted by their families, relatives, and friends.

She didn't have anyone coming to pick her up, and she didn't even bother calling the hotel to have them come and get her. She only brought a small suitcase that can be easily transported.

The rest of her luggage was easily stored in the system storage space because she had a lot to bring this time.

Her wish was to buy a storage artifact someday, but she didn't have enough points to do so. However, the system came with a storage space that she could use at any time, which made her feel more at ease and less compelled to buy her own.

Sarah exited the airport with only a suitcase and a fancy handbag, drawing the attention of many people who hadn't seen anyone dressed in such a way in a long time.

Sarah didn't care any longer; she was only concerned with herself and her family.

Sarah didn't go straight to the hotel but instead took a taxi for more than an hour to show her around, which obviously cost her a lot of money.

She was taken to the hotel, which was one of the best in Srad, after looking around. The hotel was owned by Srad's third most powerful family.
