Pointless endeavor

After thinking for a while and consulting Elena and Nova about the matter, Kita decided that it would be best if he kicked noel out. He had enough proof against him anyway. So it was best that he just kicked him out.

Kita looked at their destination. It was a colonized system, so it would be best if he got off there.

So he asked Nova to handle this matter as Kita didn't want to handle it himself. So he just left it to Nova.

After that was settled , he headed over to the Lab as was his initial plan.

As he entered the Room, he saw someone flying in front of his eyes.

"Huh?!" Kita was a bit surprised before he noticed that the object was a tablet that York had thrown towards the wall. Supposedly in frustration?

Although nothing happened to the tablet itself as it was quite durable, But the same couldn't be said for York.

After throwing the tablet at the wall he struck his hands on a table in a single motion and hurt it. That was why looked as if he was in pain.

"What's going on? Why are you throwing the tablets?" Kita asked as he laughed at York's antics. Sometime he could be quite clumsy.

"Don't ask. I was analyzing the Data that you gave me, Soon after I started, Elena hacked into my tablet and asked me to come by her office. But as I said no, she filled up the device with the that stupid video."

"What stupid video? Kita asked as he picked up the tablet." There was multiple windows opened with the same video of a cat asking cutely to come over.

"Okay." Although Kita didn't find it amusing, but he didn't care to dig deep into it. So he kept the tablet aside and asked.

"How's the analysis going on? Made any progress on the pattern of the signals?"

"Nah, The signal is highly encrypted. And doesn't make any sense when I try to decipher it."

"That's to be expected. We don't know which language it is in the first place. It would be great if we had some kind of translator first. Then we'd be able to work on decrypting it."

"I think you should give up on decrypting it. I don't think that we can do it anyway. There's too much we don't know about their race. And we know what kind of message it contained. Trying to decrypting it while having so many gaps is impossible. "

"Hmm.." Kita thought for a while. York was right. There was too many things that they didn't know about the origin of the cube or the race behind it. So trying to decrypt it would most likely result in time wasted.

"Okay, let's move on then."
