In the room, many people gathered but most important were his Grandmother and Mother. his aunt was also present there.
Dante greeted her and she hugged him with love. It was a kind reunion whereas his grandma looked at him sadly with guilt.
His grandma was the current ancestor of the WolfBerg household. She was 95 years old and looked like in her middle 40's.
She chose this form because who knows, she could even make herself look like 15 if she wanted but instead decided to choose an elderly persona so that people look at her with respect and reverence.

Dante was surprised. This was the reason he didn't trust those novels. In novels family is everything. But this was the real world. Everyone wanted power. Who wouldn't want to live a long life? Sadly same was true here. His grandmother was a power-hungry freak.
'I need to stay cautious of her and hide my power and future progress from her. I am not a match for her now or for a long time from now on.

'Her husband tamed her. She has a fackin daughter after all. Nice to look at I guess. No wonder Lily is so beautiful. This whole house is filled with beauty. Sometimes I wonder maybe it would be better to be born in a commoner family.'
Dante decided to check his aunt's status.

The thing that amazed me was her innate talent. Yes [Death Illusion]. He clicked on it and was paralyzed literally due to shock by knowing how overpowered this skill was and what could be achieved through it.
[Death Illusion: Can return to life by sacrificing 100 years of life. When revived the user will have peak strength and can fight again at peak strength. This ability has no cooldown.]
'Oh, my God!!! She is a literal spawner in a death match of a famous shooting game.' Dante thought internally.
As far as Catrina's age was concerned, she could respawn more than 10 times. It's a miracle she didn't die even once.
-The owner of innate talent mostly doesn't know of her innate ability until it is activated. There is no device to check it after all. It is a gift from the goddess Lucrecia.- Pearl stated to Dante.
'No wonder she didn't capitalize on this skill. I wonder if I can borrow her skill since I have a devouring physique.'
-You can get this skill if you kill your aunt and devour her. Also, devour needs to be level 4 to absorb other people's innate talent. Also, you cant keep more than 5 Innate talents due to world limitations. So it's pretty useless to exploit this ability. And yes, you can replace devoured talents when necessary, but original talent will be lost forever.- Pearl explained to Dante who was lost in his thoughts about exploiting talents.
'Nice nerf Overlord. No wonder I died in my last life. After 1000 years of hibernation devouring only increased to level 2. How long do I need to cultivate it to make it reach level 4?' Dante said with a sigh.
After sometime later his cousins and sister were also gathered in the hall and it was time to attend a birthday party.
The rules of the noble 5th birthday party were simple. They could be considered to be capable of adventuring and managing territory. This means a 5-year-old noble can make decisions after asking his advisors and can rule his family if needed.
Also, the church will send a priestess to check the element affinity of the noble who has turned 5 and also will allow them to initiate the blessing of goddess of light on humans.

When Dante and his sister reached the party everyone was shocked to see them. Many people started coming to congratulate them.
Everyone had smiles. Most noble children were from their allied factions.
They were bootlicking. Mostly my sisters were smiling at them and following Nobel etiquette.
I was standing on the side and the party kept going after my grandma gave a speech.
"We are gathered here to attend my grandson and granddaughter's 5th birthday. My granddaughter is being assigned future Lord of Dukedom seat whereas grandson is assigned the seat of guardian of Dukedom."
Hence the decree was announced by my grandmother. which meant that 'Dante is cannon fodder'.
Obviously, what did he expect? He was trash in everyones eyes and no matter how much family loved him he had to be treated with laws of Power that were followed since ancient times.
'Hell ya. Finally free from all these lordship tasks. Now I can concentrate on building my strength' Dante was happy and excited for his future because he already had built a business and could easily make money for himself.
His trash status will protect him from any enemy's plans. He was free and useless in the grand plans of his family and enemies.
Representatives from other duke families also visited the party and only the Silver family sent the Lord of the family who was the father of Dantes's fiance. Yes, his fiance was here and she didn't even come to greet his birthday.
'Looks like she hates me. Better to end the marriage contract today. I don't need women in my life for at least 100 years until I reach the peak of this continent and save the world. Maybe then I would find a kind, caring, respectful, and loving mortal woman to marry. A woman like this doesn't exist and it's just an illusion but still, I will try to find a woman like this who is my ideal.
