New earth new planet

Running the group took fast to their heels, going in the wind as their bodies flashed across the resistance rooms. Atlanta could barely keep her eyes open, as she stayed on Mira's shoulders.

[Time remaining till shutdown: 30 seconds.]

"W-wait.. r-rhoin." Atlanta barely muttered, realizing Rhoin and the others were still left frozen in their movements in the room she'd left them in.

"Don't worry about them, their all in a safe place now." Mira smiled, but this just made Atlanta more weary. She couldn't move or do anything, and in less than 25 seconds she was going to go unconscious.

"Mira.. watch out!" Tom yelled, as a huge chunk of the ceiling came crashing down to where Mira was. Tightly gripping Atlanta, Mira lept a bit to the side avoiding the huge derbies as she didn't stop, continue running forward.

"Fuck. I fucking hate this planet." Tom grunted, seeing more falling derbies in front. Unlike the others that had some distinct features, he didn't. He was just a normal human made out of wrinkly flesh and bones, the others had a good stamina while he didn't.

'I don't think I can keep up any longer.' Tom panted his legs growing weak, exhaustion taking over his whole system.

"Come on old man, I got you." Sole smiled placing him over his shoulders, running forward with speed catching up with Mira and the others in a short time.

"O-old.. who the hell are you calling old buster!" Tom grumpily uttered scoffing a bit. He knew he was getting older and couldn't keep up much with breathtaking activities, but he didn't want to be reminded by this boy younger than him in his teens.

"Your welcome." Sole softly said, to which Tom frowned snorting away. Reaching the elevator, they could see the entrance was blocked by a much bigger chunk from the ceiling.

"The stairs." Sole suggested, and they then made their way to the stairs only to stop in their tracks, meeting yet another block road again.

"Why does nature hate us." Mira chuckled awkwardly, causing the others to stare at her weirdly a bit. In front, the long stair leading up to the exit of the resistance base was now destroyed by a long margin, crushing their hopes of getting out.

"Old man, isn't there another way?" Sole asked Tom. He didn't know Tom that much, having only met him when he joined the resistance. but judging by his absurd geeky personality, he knew Tom must know if another escape route.

"Of course there is! I designed the building idiot!" Tom proudly spoke, making Mira chuckled a bit. Under Tom guidance, they were then led to another part of the room in the resistance by the east corner. Opposite them was a soda machine and a wall, other than that there was nothing else in this half destroyed room.

"Did you seriously have to stop for a drink?" Sole rolled his eyes but quickly got a cold and threatening glare from Tom, sending shivers down his spine.

"It's a secret passage, but I didn't expect you to be able to figure it out anyways." Tom grinned, mocking sole's intelligence.

"Quick! type in these numbers.. 61349." He quickly said, and sole hastingly typed in the numbers as the room kept on collapsing.

"It's not working doc." Sole panicked, seeing nothing happen after he typed the magic numbers he was asked to.

"I-it's supposed to open. Or did I forget the password?" Tom nervously chuckled, trying to recollect what the exact numbers were.

"Are you serious right now.." Sole wanted to rip his guts, out as the only person to know the escape route of here had forgotten the password?

"Well, it's been an honour meeting you all." Mira said in a sad tone, tapping sole on the shoulder.

"You're crazy.."

"Oh! oh! I remember now, it's 214538." Tom shouted, having recalled the password. Not waiting, sole immediately typed in the password and after 3 seconds a clang sound was heard, followed by a metallic hissing sound. The soda machine was then shifted to the side, revealing a secret narrow passage.

Without wasting any more time they all entered into the hidden passage, dashing forward up the stairs. And just like a perfect timing, the room they were in finally gave in amidst the terrifying earthquake caving in.

Outside of the scrapyard of elite city besides the cities refuse dump laid a round metal lid, which then slid open with multiple figure coming out.

"Phew.. that was disgusting." Mira giggled softly, as they were all covered in poop and forbidden things.

"Of all the places you could've chose to build a secret passage, your best option was under a sewer?" Sole retorded at tom, annoyed by the fact that the resistance best doc and scientists had chose a sewer as his best getaway option.

"Hey! it was the best choice, no one would be crazy enough to look there." Tom awkwardly smiled.

"Yeah, no one except you."

"At least it saved our lives.." Mira happily interjected, but this just made sole more annoyed.

"See.. at least she has bigger brains than you to see the bigger picture." Tom confidently spoke, seeing this strange girl backing him up.

"Don't you dare start." He warned, his eyes containing a hint of madness pointing at Mira. His vibe was giving off a murderous killing intent, as it looked like he would snap any moment and kill the both of them.

"Oh my." Tom softly said staring down at what was once known as elite city. The earthquake still ravaged on, destroying many buildings, cars, shoos, etc.. you name it! Nothing was left spared by the brutal laws of the gravity defying earthquake, deep crack lines were visibly seen going up skyscrapers and tall buildings. somehow it even affected the flying space cars, powering them down as they fell to the ground crashing and exploding.

"This-" Mira muttered, her eyes going wide in shock as she looked on. If she could guess, no less than a 100 cyborgs humans and hunter's had died from this earthquake that still kept on.

"Yeah it's terrible.. and it's happening to the whole earth." Sole sadly said, witnessing the Earth's evolution. It was a huge blow to elite city as countless lives were loss during the process, but his heart sunk more thinking about the same fate other part of the world suffered.

"Come on guys, we have to go." Mira's soft voice pulled them out from their gazes, as they then followed her going to God knows where?

.....

"N-no! Grab onto my hand baby!" A female with a one pair of cyborg eyes yelled, stretching her hands to a little human girl with brown wavy hair.

"Sniffs! sniffs. A-am scared mom." The little girl frighteningly said, holding on to a piece of cloth swinging across a huge crater reaching 7 feets down. The cracks from the earthquake had destroyed not only buildings and cars, but also the hard concrete floor inching deeper.

"D-don't look down honey.. focus on my voice, am going to get you out of this alright." The mother tried to comfort the scared girl. She could see the thin line of cloth wouldn't hold any longer, as it already had a cut pulling more.

"J-just focus on my voice sweetie.. remember what I taught you." The woman's voice resounded in the girls ear, giving her somewhat little comfort. Nodding her head she looked up, seeing the beautiful woman which is her mother. A sudden feeling of confidence washed over her body, as she began climbing the cloth.

"Yes.. yes! just a little more." The woman urged. seeing the cloth would give out any second now, her hands stretched down to the girl.

"You're almost there honey, i-" her words were cut short when the cloth snapped finally giving out, her fingers just inches from her daughter.

"No~" She felt her heart sink inside her body, as the world seemed to have slowed down that split second amidst the chaos. Her daughter scream echoing in her ears, as she stared motionlessly while the girl fell.

'Swoosh! Zapp..' a swift breeze brush past her, followed by yellow lightning.

"You're alright now.." Turning she could see the figure of a male she could never forget, his blonde hair swaying gently in the wind.

"M-micheal angel." She stuttered seeing the dreaded hunter, and clutched in his arm was her little girl safe and sound.

"Sira!" She screamed, running over to Micheal and grabbing her baby hugging her tightly in her arms. Tears flowed down her eyes, as she caressed her little child without a care in the world.

"You should head to the bunker, it's not safe for you here." Micheal softly said to which she nodded. He then backed the woman clutching the child in his arms, as he sprinted forward with insane speed lightning following behind him. With his profound agility and strength, it was an easy task to avoid all the obstacles they met. and within a few minutes they'd reach the bunker.

"Go in." Micheal said and was about to go out to rescue another civilian, when he felt something touch him from behibd.

"Thank you." The dark haired woman softly said, hugging Micheal. The latter could feel a warm sensation wash over his body, as he stayed there emotionless.

After a few seconds the woman then broke the hug, grabbing her daughter as they then made their way down into the bunker.

'It's been long since I've felt that.' Micheal thought. Shaking his head he regained his focus, as he got on with achieving his primary goal at the moment.

"We should be safe here.." Mira softly said, placing the unconscious Atlanta down to a bed tucking her in.

"Safe, in a bunker?" Sole said, unsure whether to believe Mira's words. The resistance was built underground, so it could be considered a huge and wide bunker. but still, with all it's defenses it couldn't stand against this freaking earthquake.

"Don't worry, this bunker can withstand much more than you can imagine. And besides, it's been existing way back before you were born." She smiled, making some raise his brows a bit.
