Chapter9

#Chapter9

/"No way! Lattes are way better than iced coffee/" I digress

I have absolutely no idea how we got onto the conversation of coffee, but it is helping me slyly learn more about her versus asking her outright.

The white haired girl ceases her swinging to stare at me.

/"Excuse me?!/"

I try my best not to laugh at how offended she sounds.

/"You heard me/" I tease her.

Harper's eyes slowly trail down my face. I notice her eyes briefly flicker a dark pink color once she reaches my neck.

She quickly closes her eyelids as tilts her head down to the ground.

Okay, now I am one hundred percent sure that her eyes are changing colors.

I mean...she isn't really hiding it very well.

She actually looks like she may be in pain of some sort.

Though anyone my age would run away in horror at the sight of someone's eyes changing unnatural colors I am not one of those people.
