Her iced over eyes are frantically trying to read my face for any sort of reaction.

Her teeth are nervously chewing on her red stained bottom lip which causes the body part to become swollen.

Her nails are still digging into her forearms.

I uncross my arms and reach out in front of me, grabbing ahold of her crossed arms. I uncross her arms before releasing them.

Harper, still terrified, watches my every movement with a careful eye.

Once I have enough space I step into her arms and lift my arms once again, this time resting them on her shoulders. I interlock my fingers together behind her neck so that I can hold onto her.

With this answer Harper releases a small breath of air, her shoulders relaxing.
