Chapter 10 – Players vs NPC.

The three great shield users appears to be party tanks while sword users could be assumed to be main damage dealer. There are as well two staff users, one of them is mage type class and other one is probably support type, but question who with one is it? There are two archers as well, are they scouts or damage dealer type? And the last guy, Evon, he is holding a shield that look like it's covered with rip cage and his grey axe don't appear to be normal equipment as well, rare rank maybe?

(The real question is, what is their strategy. When it comes to low level boss monsters, you don't need really any strategist, if they were using one, I could guess what their class and roles are, that means I have to careful observe their actions before making the move or I may end up walking towards their trap.)

(I can't use chaos power either, since they could spread the news about some random 'no name' NPC that is able to use chaos powers, this would end up causing lot of trouble for me right now.)

(This is opportunity as well. In the future I will be probably forced to fight against group or guild of players. In my past life as Ergon I fought against group of people, but I didn't learned much because they were either street thugs or knights of Uwlrun kingdom, an idiots that were easier that goblins. In my past life as NewbieFriend, I had never fought group of people head on, I only used cowardly tactics such as filling the battle field with traps or poison gas. These bastard know how to fight and cooperate, meaning this is good chance to learn some things.) – though Ergon as he slowly walked towards enemy.

"Surround him!" – said the leader.

Enemy vanguard instantly splitted and attempted to surround their foe. In the back archer were preparing to shot their arrows and staff users began preparing spells. The only one was not moving was their leader.

(Archers will probably aim for the opening when I engage in combat with vanguard, the leader is probably staying behind in case I got past vanguard and headed straight for people behind him. The staff users began preparing spells, but I still don't have clue with one is mage or support.)

{{Info: Spells are ability that you can only learn by training, you can learn spells or make new ones if you possess necessary knowledge. To cast spells you need: understanding of spell, knowledge how to use element related to the spell and affinity for spell attribute – mage type jobs.}}

(Question is, are they 1 circle or 2 circles? The more circles you have, the more spells you can learn, one of them is probably fire mage since somebody shot [Fire Shot] at me. Enemy is already wary of me, meaning they will stop at all cost from approaching their range squad. Then how about If I use it against them?).

Ergon crouched and putted his hand on the ground and as soon as he putted it, a purple smoke emergent where his hand was located, instantly covering himself instantly.

[Poison Palm]

[Spell] [Element(s):Poison [Cost: 100 MP] [Overload: 15 seconds] [Cooldown: 5 minutes]

[Requirement – [Poison Mage – 1 Circle]

[Create a poison smoke from your palm that will spread in chosen direction, if you put your hand on solid surface(wall, ground or on somebody cheast) it cause smoke to spread around you instead.

This spell will inflict poison status for all enemies hit by it and will cause them to take 5% of your magic power every 2 second for 1 minute. The effect doesn't stack

In the instantly group backed away from Ergon to keep safe distance.

"Don't get near it! It's probably poison!" – shouted one of the swordman.

In the instant a small crossbow bolt flew towards the man that shouted, it was aimed at his head, he managed to notice the attack and block it with his sword, unfortunate for him, it was a distraction. A second crossbow bolt was shot right after first one, aimed straight at his hearth, man managed to move in last second, making attack not hit hearth but shoulder instead.

"Shoot it!" – shouted leader while turning his head towards one of staff user behind him.

The staff user behind Evon instantly releaset a [Fire Ball] towards purple smoke, causing explosion, dispersing the smoke instantly. Unexpectedly for them, Ergon was not in it. A sound of crossbows shooting were heard from above, in the instant all the all players looked up and noticed Ergon in the air. Scream that belonged to the staff users that were staying behind could be heard, both of them got hit with crossbow bolts, one of them got hit in shoulder while other one in knee.

(It's hard to aim while flying in the air, well at least I hit them) – though Ergon.

Ergon begin falling down and Evon moved towards his landing location. Ergon stored away his crossbows and took out his axes from the belt and prepared to swing them.

Evon and Ergon swinged their axes at the same time, clashing in the process. Suddenly a black powder got released from the axe that Evon was holding. The powder then enveloped Ergon and instantly setting it on fire.

(Don't be scared, if I back down he will then get a chance.)

Ergon ignored the flames and used is other his other axe to strike at his enemy, in respond foe raised his shield and blocked Ergon attack with it.

(H-heavy! But you fallen for it!) – though Evon.

A shield suddenly changed it form, a rib cage that was covering the shield had changed and grew larger, it then surrounded Ergon and trapping him, immobilizing him in place in the process.

"I got him! Get him now!" – shouted leader.

All vanguards started rushing towards him meanwhile Ergon is still trying to break free. The enemy started getting closer and were preparing to strike Ergon from behind until one of them suddenly fall on the ground.

"Hey what's wrong?!" – said one of shield users.

"S-something w-wrong, feels w-weird." – said swordman that got hit in his shoulder with crossbolt some time ago.

"Boss help!" – shouted one of the archers.

Evon looked behind him and saw mage and support laying on the ground, showing the same symptoms as swordman.

(Did he poisoned them?! When?! Wait, did he coated the cross bolts with poison?) – Evon though as he looked in panic back at Ergon.

Unfortunately for him and the others, this distraction gave Ergon enough time to free himself and slash Evon right in his cheast.

"Tch, not deep enough." – said Ergon after realizing his attack didn't managed to kill his opponent – (Is this armor a rare grade as well? What a pain in the ass.)

Man raised his axe to finish off bleeding Evon, the archers that were standing from behind begin shooting their arrows to stop him. Ergon begin blocking the barrage of arrows non stop that was coming towards him, the two tanks from before noticed the opening made by archer and attempted to use [Shield Push] again Ergon. The attack connected but Ergon was not the one that got send flying, but Evon.

"Fool Me Once, Shame on You; Fool Me Twice, Shame on Me."

Ergon used skills [Sprint] and [Trick Strike to get instantly behind

[Trick Strike]

[Level 9] [Cost: 5% of your max SP] [Cooldown 3 minutes]

Drastically increase your moment speed for 300% for 1 second (+0,20 seconds for each level), but decrees your attack by 50%.

[Sprint]

[Level 3] Cost: 1% of your SP for each second ] [Cooldown 10 minutes]

[Increase your movement speed by 10%(+2.5% for each level). This is skill can be used non stop and will go into cooldown when deactivated. This skill will be instantly canceled and put on cooldown if you lose 15% of your health while the skill was active.]

Ergon used [Critical Strike] and cutted off both shield users heads with one strike.

"Two down, eight to go." – said Ergon out loud while smiling creepily.

The party of players had advantage against. 1- Ergon could not use his chaos powers to not get exposed, meaning he couldn't go all out and 2-even if he had high stats of boss character or monster, his classes and skills were below average level 30, meaning only his stats were dangerous but not skills he had.

So how are they losing right now?

The answer is simple, it's "Fear".

It's started the moment Ergon covered him self with the smoke, enemies were confused and didn't know what was going on. The next was the unknown attack that affected swordman and staff users, they didn't know where the attack came from. And the final touch was serious injuring their leader, the person they fallowed and trusted is getting destroyed before their eyes.

Even if players are immortal creatures that can revive over and over again, that doesn't mean they don't have emotions, meaning they still could feel fear and that's what made them lose their confidence.

"Well then, no hard feelings but its time to die, okay?"
