Unpleasant Mana

"Devil, would you mind telling me why there are three dead police officers right outside of our building?"

"Erm... well... I didn't want them to disturb your sleep, is all."

"That would be very kind of you, but I feel like that's not the real reason."

She didn't make eye contact with me.

Looking at the scene in front of me, one might not have even realised what had just occurred. Like a talented assassin, the murders were quite skillfully hidden. A single ray of light through the heart is what I assumed the cause of death was. The wound even managed to be cauterised as the attack went through, stopping any bleeding.

"You know these people were meant to be with me, right?" I told her.

"You don't seem like you like them very much anyways."

"I guess you're right, but don't just go slaughtering them as you wish. It'll cause problems for me."

"Okay~. I won't do it again~"

"Anyways, I should probably find Mana. I need to find out which day we're going back."
