Instead of heading into camp, I decided to find a spot inside an abandoned building to stay the night. It wasn't like any of them were really in the mental state to seriously worry about me anyways. The peace and quiet would be pretty nice as well.
"I'm probably going to just stay in this building for the night," I said.
"Sounds good to me. It's what I've been doing most days."
"You don't sleep in a house?"
"I mean, I haven't been bothered going through the process to actually buy one. My EM field protects me from any dangers so I don't really have a reason to need one."
"Isn't it more comfortable inside?"
"I don't even notice comfort anymore."
"I guess so."
The harsh treatment during the Human Realiser Project was definitely enough to desensitize most of us from even the worst conditions. Looking around, I noticed that there was an open area that was decently walled off from the outside.
I didn't care that much about comfort either.
