Main event

[Clayton POV]

I cannot believe this witch is testing me yet again, how dare she do this, but before they could even say a thing Joshua the best lawyer and friend had already nip it in the butt.

"Seems no one objects you may continue father," the priest seems to not want to continue with the wedding, ugh, must be someone Hailee hired.

"Listen here fool, if you do not continue with this ceremony this will be the last ceremony you do, I can promise you that." I warned him.

Kaleah's hands had gotten sweaty with anxiety, and I could feel how she was now second guessing this, ugh, I sure need to clean out those roaches, they seem to not know how devious I could be.

"Um… if he doesn't…..."

"Oh, he will officiate the wedding Leah, don't stress yourself." I reassure her, glaring at the dumb priest.

He sighs before continuing with the ceremony, Kaleah seems to have a lot on her mind, she keeps looking around the guest and not me, it makes me a bit jealous and mad.

When the dumb priest finally announces us a husband and wife, my sweet wife is still looking at the guest, especially Hailee or is she looking at James?

"Ugh…." I held her waist before pulling her closer to me, she still felt like she was dazed, like her mind was not even here.

I close our gaps before kissing her, she seems to a bit confused, is it those fool's presence that made her confused?

Our kiss is long and sweet, better that our first and second probably will never better than our next. She melts in my hand with the kiss, and I feel so complete, mine, my wife.

We all move inside the house after the ceremony, where everyone congratulates us.

"I need to fix something, stay put okay," I tell my beautiful wife, who seem to not like me leaving her side, "don't worry, I will be back just cleaning out some trash that invited itself in my wedding."

She gives me a nervous smile before nodding, I give her a kiss on her head before leaving. First, I find Joshua who seems to have a solution.

"Don't worry, I already solved the mess," he says, Leah's father who looked mortified had rushed to me when I arrived.

"Son-in-law, please talk to this man, he says we need to pay $30 000 for bridging the contract," he cries, "I just wanted to see my daughter get married."

"But you signed the contract yesterday that says, if you are to show yourself to Mr. and Mrs. Beckett you intentionally you are to pay a total of $35 000, I even gave you a discount," Joshua says mockingly.

"I didn't see that document," Ore defends, making Joshua laugh, "well you should have read the documents you signed thoroughly sir," he said like an evil lawyer he is.

"Son-in-law, help us please, I meant no harm."

"That is why you stood to object?" I ask him, "see you were fooled by that woman, but you still came here and disrupted my wedding thus you need to pay the money."

"Clay love, are you serious, he wanted to tell you a little secret about your wife," Hailee said arrogantly, "turns out she is only marrying you for a green card."

I laugh at her absurdity, "do you think I am stupid Miss Leech? I know Kaleah's circumstance already."

"But…... well," she stutters.

"Seem you two also need to learn your lesson huh?" I asked the stupid couple.

"But sir we didn't…..." James tries to defend himself.

"Don't worry, I already have a way to make them pay though they will get their invoice tomorrow." Joshua says, "ugh… can't believe I spent my friend's wedding working."

"But… Mr. Beckett, we are sorry." Lola says, but I am too angry to give mercy.

Just then two men arrive, "Mr. Carter where is the criminal?" one of the men who I identified as Dave Colon, the detective. Joshua points at Hailee who is shocked.

"Oh…. Great," Dave says, "Hailee Leech you are under arrest for the attempted murder of Melisa Beckett, the murder of the famous hitman Tracy Musi, the murder of your fist husband Lewis Daniels, and under investigation for three counts of marriage fraud."

"What? How did you…..., I clean all the tracks, how did…." She stutters as she looks at me "Clay, help me."

I roll my eyes at her stupidity, I am the one who got her arrested, how does she think I would help her? The other fools who had come with her were now shaking with fear.

"Okay seems Miss Leech will be in jail for the rest of her life," Joshua says, "now are you going to continue to anger me, or will you go back to you homes peacefully and pay your dues?"

They had flinched before they nodded, they head, "we are going," they sing in union.

I watch they leave in fear, "ugh… can't believe I had to kill roaches on my wedding day." I curse.

"Well, we have solved that forever, you can return to your bride before she thinks you are with your ex." Joshua mocks.

"I should do that, that stunt made her feel so insecure," I say, walking back to where my bride was.

She looks so beautiful dancing with her friends, I stand for a few minutes and let her dance away with her friends. She smiles when she sees me and makes her way to me.

"Did you fix what you went to fix?" she asked nervously.

"Yes, made sure it never bothers us again," I say to her, "aren't you supposed to save the first dance for the groom?"

"Oh…. Well Cyan saw I was bored so she took me to the dance floor, sorry didn't…."

"Don't apologize, just dance with me now, okay?" I say making her smile before nodding.

She takes my hand and takes me to the dance floor, we start slow dancing, the song is slow and sweet, I can feel she is nervous.

"Relax, this is our day, we are the main event, they are the ones who should be nervous," I whisper to her making her smile, a beautiful smile that could light up the sky.

She relaxes and starts moving beautifully with the beat of the song, everyone now has their eyes on us as they admire our beauty, I feel happy, they should admire us, it is our night we are the main event.
