Honeymoon phase

[Clayton POV]

I woke up to hear Kaleah explain to Cyan why she hasn't admitted why she hasn't told me she loved me, it kind of hurt a little, but I will be patient, she is my wife after all.

I woke up late at noon, hungry, so I went to the kitchen to get us food.

"What?" I snort to the millionth call from a certain Joshua.

"I have been calling you all day man,"

"And I have been ignoring you, can I spend my newlywed days in peace."

"It is important," Joshua says angrily.

He had explained how Hailee's case is going, how he plans to get Mr. Huxley to pay and his new evil plan to get at Kaleah's ex.

"Those sound about good, why did you call me for a go ahead?" I roll my eyes; I continue to cook for my wife.

"Because you would have skinned me alive if I had gone with the plan without running in by you," he kind of has a point.

"Fine," I say, "can I ask a question?"

"Yes? What did you do?" Joshua says sarcastically, but I ignore his sass.

"How do you make an omelette?"

I can hear him drop his phone laughing, ugh, I should have just called grandmother about this at least she wouldn't laugh.

"Evelyn honey come here this," he calls his wife making me angrier.

"Can you not, if you don't want to help just say," I grumble.

"What is it?" his wife asks, I roll my eyes and sigh.

"I need a good omelette recipe," I say in a low one, but enough for them to hear me on the other side of the phone. I can hear his wife chuckle.

"Hi, Clayton, congratulations on the wedding, and don't worry I will send you all the best omelette recipes for you and your wife."

"Thanks Eve, at least you are thoughtful unlike your trashy husband," I grumble, Joshua is still laughing like a fool in the background, I say goodbye to Eve so I can focus on this disaster I have made in the kitchen.

Finally, after what seems to be hours of atomic cooking, I finally got the recipe right, presentation and taste wise. But I was unable to clean the mess in time because my beautiful wife was standing there shocked.

"I made breakfast," I say sheepishly, she burst out laughing.

"How many times did you attempt this? Oh, look at the kitchen it looks like some crazy science experiment," she continues to laugh beautifully, a contagious laughter I couldn't help but laugh along.

We both cleaned the kitchen before we ate my awesome omelette.

"Come on say it," I say with a smug, I know it tastes amazing.

"Best omelette I have ever tasted," she says with a blinding smile, I have never felt so happy in my life.

"By the way, we are flying to New Zealand tonight," I tell her, she is confused at first before she smiles and say, "honeymoon."

"Yes,"

"But aren't you busy?"

"No, we are newlyweds we should have some time to each other,"

"But I don't have a passport, how will I go to New Zealand?"

"Don't worry," I say I pull out the drawer to let out her passport, "I already had the liberty of getting you one, though it is hard for the green card parts since the immigration officer is a bit tough to crack."

She drooped her head, sadly, "thank you," she says softly but there was a hint of pain in her voice.

"Darling please don't thank me, you are my wife, of course I ought to take care of you." I say hugging her, she hugs me tightly, "I will give you whatever you want, just name it okay."

She nods deep into the hug, "you are a pretty awesome husband, who would have thought."

"What do you mean who would have thought?"

"You threatened me the first day we met, and you are cold and rude to people, of course one would not think you would be this sweet."

"I am only sweet to you; besides you were just too beautiful I didn't know what to say," I say shyly.

"You are such a sappy husband," she says blushing, I put my arm around her waist and brought her closer to me.

"You are really beautiful, the most beautiful human I have ever seen," I whisper to her making her blush even more, "well you haven't looked in the mirror if you think that."

Her reply makes me want to marry her all over again, such an ego booster that was. We spent the rest of the day in each other's arms before we got ready to live for the honeymoon.

"Can we visit Zoey? I really want to see her first," she says, she wore a beautiful daisy sundress and man it looked good on her, well everything looks good on a body that gorgeous.

"Clay!" she shouts, looking at me with fear, "no, we are not doing that, I am tired."

I chuckled, "come on baby, we just got married should we be enjoying s*x as much as we want," I scooped her waist.

"No, Clay we should have a break sometime, plus we need to go on a honeymoon remember," "we have a private jet the time we leave doesn't matter," "we need to see Zoey."

I kiss her passionately, I feel so robbed to be only to kiss her now, I wasted so many years without this beautiful feeling.

"Fine let us go see out little princess," I see her blush when I call Zoey our little princess.

It hadn't sunk yet how I was not a father, a complete father to an adorable baby girl, with big, beautiful eyes.

"Why are you blushing about?" Kaleah asks me.

"Just happy you chose me as your husband, I feel really honored," she smiles shyly, and I feel even more happy.

We arrive at the house later on, it was quite a lively feeling, Taryn the nanny was already there since Kaleah, and I would be away she would be a live-in nanny.

"So, you are going on a honeymoon already?" Cyan says holding unto my poor wife for dear life.

"Yes, we are, now can we leave now, and please take care of my baby girl," I say handing precious Zoey to Taryn.

"I will do so sir, have fun on your honeymoon," she replies.

We leave the house to the airport for our honeymoon, I should visit mom and dad's grave when we return to introduce to their beautiful daughter in law.
