CHAPTER 26

  As they headed out of the packhouse, Mona handed the letter to Sansan, who passed it on to the packhouse messenger that delivers on everyone's behalf. Mona felt a bit better, knowing her parents wouldn't be subjected to the horrific thoughts that something might be wrong with her.

  Every moment she had spent in the Lycan pack felt like torture.

  Mona squinted her eyes at the burning round ball called the sun. It felt alien, having it shine all over her and also, the feel on her skin was different.

  Mona had always loved being outside, enjoying the fresh air and savouring nature's beauty. However, it felt strange as she walked the streets of Lycan pack. Mona moved rigidly with her eyes on the ground. It felt like they were all looking at her. With thoughts of how different she must seem for the pack members to take note of her, every step felt heavy.
