CHAPTER 28

Mona turned on the bed, feeling light, fluttering her eyelash. She tried to adjust them to the ray of sunshine bursting in from the window. Sometimes she wonders if Sansan ever sleeps; she was always up on time to wake her up.

Sitting up on the bed, Mona rubbed her eyes as she stared at her new friend. "Would you always do this?"

Sansan nodded, smiling, "as long as you remain here. I would make it my duty to wake you up every chance I get."

Mona grinned, "might get used to being treated specially."

"I wouldn't complain one bit. I enjoy spending time with you."

Standing up from the bed, she adjusted the bedspread properly. "What do you need me to help you with this morning?"

Sansan shrugged, "whatever you intend to do. But a letter came in really early for you. I won't be surprised if whoever sent it didn't sleep a wink."

Handing Mona the letter, Sansan sat at the edge of the bed. Her eyeballs were rounding up like saucers as she watched Mona open the paper up.
