CHAPTER 50

"Ahhhh. I could really use some rest and a good massage right now." Foden said, stretching himself a bit too loudly.

Dylan ignored him, obviously not in the mood as always. Foden had been trying to get him to speak since they started working all morning, but he didn't flinch one bit. And now that it was almost evening, Dylan had hardly said a word.

Foden slapped the table, "Okay, I guess I have had enough of you already. Spit it out."

"Can you leave me for a moment, Foden?" He finally said.

"Not when you have kept mute all day long. How do you expect me to not say anything? What happened?"

Dylan gulped, "a whole lot of things. I was having a good time last night when I bumped into the varmint!"

"Remind me who that is again?"

  "My rejected mate."

Foden looked taken aback. "why would you call her that? That girl looks nothing like a varmint to me; you are just overreacting."
