CHAPTER 51

Simone arrived at the dinner a bit late. Elaina, beyond happy to see her, didn't bother to question why she came by late, which was unlike her. Dinner was a full table of a different sort, and Simone didn't realize she was hungry until she sat at the table.

"See, Darius, I told you she was a beauty to behold. All of Elaina's friends are just as beautiful as she is." Cedric complimented, grinning widely at his wife.

Even though it sounds petty of her, one of the reasons Simone avoided Elaina's home whenever her husband was around was their public affection for each other. None of them hesitated to prove to themselves and others how in love they were. It irked her every time, but her love for Elaina surpassed any dirty feeling crossing her mind.

As she tried to smile and look happy to be in their presence, her cheeks hurt at the painful stretch of her lips.

"Elaina has told me so much about you," Darius spoke for the first time towards the end of the meal.
