CHAPTER 104

"I am really sorry, ma'am." The maid who had opened the door a bit too quickly pleaded. All the tray content she had been carrying were splattered on the floor.

Mona groaned on the floor as blood rushed through her face. Dylan rushed to bend over her, holding her up. The maid panicked as she kept stuttering.

"Get me some bowl of water and balm," Dylan ordered the maid.

Holding Mona up, Dylan guided her to a chair. He had a sly smile on his face as he tried to massage her forehead.

"Will you admit to this being your fault?" He taunted.

Mona blinked back the tear that stung the back of her eyes, "how?"

Dylan chuckled, "you were trying to run off. But then, here you are."

She was about to say something in return when the maid rushed back in with the bowl, a napkin and balm. Her hands shook as she handed them to Dylan.

"Do I need to run down to the infirmary?" The maid asked.

Mona raised up a hand, "it's alright, please. You don't have to worry."
