CHAPTER 127

Dylan walked stealthily, following Foden's advice and not pushing himself too hard. Regaining consciousness a few hours ago felt like he had been wide awake all along.

Stopping in front of Mona's door, he knocked gently on it. There was no response at first. He tried to make the knock louder, but no response came. Turning around, he remembered Diane had been angry at him over their little argument. He made his way to her room instead, knocking on the door. A voice called out for him to come in.

"I hope I am not interrupting anything?" Dylan whispered as he ducked his head in lightly.

Diane patted the pillow, "since everyone seemed tired, I was just about to sleep sad. Maybe I should have gone home with Ralph and not decided to be the good sister."

Guilt pulled at Dylan's heartstrings, "I am sorry, Diane." He whispered.

She stared at him with mischief dancing in her eyes. "Are you really sorry?"
