Zombie!

The rat hit the cage with it's full might and it squealed on every hit.

Leon grabbed a chair to observe the rat properly. It didn't stop, it kept on hitting until it couldn't.

He grabbed his pen and paper from the floor and wrote down everything he observed about the rat.

The rat also reminded him of something; an observational video from one of his favourite scientist.

He left the rat for some seconds to go and find the tape to rewatch the video.

It played and Leon brought out his pen and paper to mark out the same symptoms as the one on television.

"Rear cases like bulgy veins and super Strength," The narrator explained.

"It was almost as if the rat had super power, it jumped at the smell of fresh flesh and it refused its usual food, effects on a human included the same and they became partially dumb," The narrator explained and Leon marked out things on his book.

He went back into the lab, the rat was still trying to get out.

He took a piece of a dead rabbit and threw it inside the cage and it refused eat. He only smelled it before he moved back.

Leon noted it down.

He took a living baby rabbit and placed it into the cage. The rat devoured the rabbit without hesitation. He was also pleased with the smell of fresh blood

Leon also noted that down.

He brought out the rat from its cage and chained it's little hands down.

He injected the rat, a tranquillizer before it calmed down. It still tried to escape but in a less violent way.

Leon surveyed the rat properly.

He realised that it's heart was not beating. He tried to find the rat's pulse but it was pointless.

He cut the rat's leg to try to see if it would gush out.

It poured but it wasn't free blood. It had a strange color and immediately the wounds healed.

He touched the rat's eyes to examine them and he realised that it's pupil had become white.

Before he could think fast the rat bit his hand and he withdrew.

Blood dripped from his hand and the rat tried to get to it.

Leon placed his bleeding finger on top of its mouth and the rat licked it off with its tiny tongue.

Leon ran his fingers through his hair. He stood up but sat back down immediately.

He started to sweat uncontrollably and every thing came in twos. He tried to stand up again and he succeeded. He looked around the room and everything seemed blurry. He managed to walk towards the cage of animals and some of them turned over and fell on the floor because he mistakenly hit them.

His vision became blurry and his eyes became wet. Tears spilled on his face and his heart beat started to slow down.

Leon held his chest with fear.

Was he going to die without helping his mom? Was all this going to waste?

His teeth started to itch and his gum bled. He tried to use his fingers to subside the itchiness but it didn't work.

He let out a grunt as he tried to maneuver through his lab but he couldn't walk.

He stared at the bunnies on the floor and he felt the need to eat them. His thirst for flesh became stronger by the seconds.

He looked at the mirror on the other side and he realised his body had turned pale, his eyes were red and his veins became bigger.

"Blood," He managed to say before he fell on his knees.

His heart beat became weaker by the seconds. He fell on the floor with his eyes looking up.

The veins grew bigger on his face and neck and he couldn't breathe anymore. His entire being had become fifty percent cold and for some weird reasons he had a strong erection.

Then moments later something popped in his body.

He felt everything go back to normal. His eyes stopped hurting, his nose stopped bleeding and his veins were their normal size, his heart beat was back to normal.

His body had rejected the venom and now he was back Alive.

Leon abruptly stood up from the floor not believing he had just died.

He took the chained rat and placed him back inside his cage.

He moved up his attic to find something to tighthen the lock or double the cage so the rat would not be able to escape.

He found a cage bigger than the one he had before.

He grabbed the cage alongside a lock and key from the attic.

He rushed to his lab and he found the rat still in his cage. Immediately he doubled the cage and locked it up.

He walked out of the lab and placed his hands on his head.

He tried to find his book but he had no idea where he tossed it. He scratched his head as he scattered everywhere to find the book. He found the book back in his lab underneath the glass box for his test tubes.

He tried to find where he had gone wrong but he did not understand.

He rubbed the back of his neck as he continued to restudy maybe he added more compounds but everything was correct, no single mistake.

Leon was scared because of the possible chances of having a zombie attack was at an eighty percent if that rat managed to escape that lab.

If he decides to shoot the rat. He would never know where he went wrong. He tried to create a cure for the rat by starting afresh but nothing seemed to work, the equation was imbalanced. He tried to alter that same solution but it only became worse.

He threw his book out of the room and yelled in anger.

He heard a loud bang from the lab and he rushed to see what it was.
