I stepped out with the thought to immediately give up once he rejected it.
My eyes went straight to him, and I was startled to see the sales girl offering him coffee. She let her fingers touch his and made it look like an innocent mistake, but I wasn't stupid.
I found it odd when she blinked slowly at him with a seductive smile imprinted on her face. I creased my brows not because I found it disgusting, but more because I found it weird.
Moments back, she didn't show any sign of making a seductive attempt or even finding him attractive. So, what made her suddenly change?
Immediately that thought came in, my eyes landed on him and his graceful posture captivated me. He sat with his legs crossed, and his body leaned back with his gaze stuck on his phone as he scrolled without acknowledging mine or even the sales girl's presence.
She tried to move closer to him, but I cleared my throat. He gradually looked up, his eyes paused on the cleavage of the dress. He sat there looking hypnotized before he slowly got up.
His expression changed for a split second. He walked slowly and seductively as his gaze ran across my body.
The dress was tight, but I felt comfortable in it. However, I tried to calm my heart, which seemed to beat abnormally as he neared me. Something about his gaze made me nervous as he stopped, a breath away from me.
"What do you think?" I asked breathlessly. He smiled ever so slowly.
"What do I think?" He asked back as his gaze strolled one last time before he smiled devilishly. He turned over to the sales lady. "Wrap them up," he said and turned to look at me.
She looked confused, and I was annoyed at her for even trying to gain his attention. Why would someone make an advance on a married man? I was pissed at her, but I know I was being petty.
"Sorry sir, but do you mean I should take all of them?"
Daniel looked back at her. "I want them all for my wife." He said, or should I say blurted out, but his face remained expressionless which could only mean he said it not as a mistake.
Her eyes widened, and they moved between me and him. When she finally absorbed the shock, she quickly lowered her head.
I sneered at her before walking closer towards him, and for the first time I felt possessive towards someone. My hands went to his collar as I gently tugged him closer. My hand went to his face as I traced it down to his lips with such great satisfaction.
I swept my finger across his lips. "There, you had coffee on your lip." I said and looked at my finger.
I was technically lying because there was nothing there in the first place, and I did that for attention. I wanted to show my possession over what was mine. I gently moved the finger I used on his lips into my mouth and sucked on it.
Daniel's eyes slightly widened, but I passed him a smile.
"Not bad," I muttered, stressing on the words enough for him to understand. He cleared his throat and smiled amusingly.
The sales girl nodded and walked away. Giving us the privacy to discuss.
"Are you okay?" Was his first question.
"Do I look not okay? Do you like coffee?" I asked, startling him.
"Maybe," he replied confusingly as he glanced around. Was he trying not to look at me?
"So… You like this dress?" I asked and he sighed.
"You should take that off," he said with a hoarse voice that spoke of raw hunger while his gaze fell on my cleavage again, but he looked away.
"Sure, your Highness," I said sarcastically with a slight bow before turning around.
I could feel his gaze on me as I made my way to change the dress. She brought the bags and we left immediately.
Getting out of the car, he was beside me as we made our way into the house. I made my way to my room, but he grasped my wrist and pulled me over to him, my back slammed on his chest with his hands around my waist, holding securely.
He leaned down, and I could feel breath on my neck as he placed his face on my neck. I became stiff, but after a while, I attempted to leave his embrace. "Stay still," he whispered softly on my skin.
With goosebumps on my skin, I gulped and listened to him. "Can I move now?" I asked moments after.
He didn't say anything, causing me to frown. "Aren't you going to make lunch for us?" He suddenly asked.
I pushed myself from his grips and turned to him. "Cook? I'm not the maid here," I said with a frown.
His expression was unreadable as he stared at me. "I believe you're my wife."
Was he being serious?
"Well Mr. billionaire, I might be your wife, but I believe you still remember this is all a contract, and we have our rules."
"But none of them says you can't cook for me. As a matter of fact, it clearly said nothing about me asking you to make lunch for us."
I suddenly felt like he was purposefully getting on my nerves. "I don't want to have lunch with you, and you can have whatever you want, besides you have a maid to do that for you. And let's not forget the sales girl who seemed desperate to do whatever you wanted at the boutique."
He furrowed his brow as he tried to decipher my words. His expression slowly changed as he finally got a grip of what I was saying.
"Sales girl?" He raised a brow with a small smile on his lips.
"I might poison you," I said, trying to change the topic.
He scoffed as he walked towards me, while I backed away from him until the wall stopped my attempt. He placed his hands on the wall behind me as he caged me against the wall.
"Are you maybe jealous?" He asked. His face was an inch away from mine.
"I don't know what you speak of," I whispered.
"If you say so," he leaned down, keeping eye contact.
"Can you move then?" I said, raising my chin.
"I haven't complimented your dresses," he said, his eyes went to the bags. "Especially the last one."
