~Formay, Police station~

Oxzy had a frantic call from Milo, the sheriff yelled at him to come, that paired with the usual siren. The siren meant that the station had turned it on when they encountered Pierce.

The villain.

The hero was already tired for the day, he just got back and intended to feed his cat before taking a nap, but he knew he had to go. He set the stuff down and jumped into action. The call from Milo, he ended up just listening to, he didn't have to talk back, he just listened. The call was buzzed off by the officer. Oxzy quickened his pace.

He made it in time to see a black dust storm start to fade. It faded when the hero noticed the villain right away, he was standing straight on a wooden panel that was hanging over the ground a few feet above. The villain's eyes were looking right at the hero, it was like he was waiting for him. He was waiting for him.

Just seeing the piercing glare from the evil man's brown eyes, Oxzy growled under his breath. He really didn't want to deal with him. But he knew he had to, he was the hero after all. The villain waved at the on coming hero, paying no mind to the fire bursting from behind him.

"Son of a bitch.." Oxzy cursed once again. "I can't just have one good day, can I?"

"Finally!" Pierce yelled out, waving back and forth before putting his hands down. "Come and play with me, I'm getting bored."

Even though Oxzy doesn't want to give in to him, give in to what Pierce wanted. He had to do it, sucking up his anger before it could burst out. Oxzy swung his hand back before moving it forward in the direction of the villain. The villain dodged the spayed attack, moving sideways and down off the panel. The spike flung past his head, hitting the broken wood that was once behind him.

The spike of ice that came from Oxzy made the sheriff jump. He jumped back away in fear, looking up to see that the villain and hero were in a jumbled fight. The fight, Milo has seen too many times, it's usually the villain that has the upper hand. The reason for it was that Pierce would destroy things around him to make the hero be occupied by it. The hero would try and counter attack while making sure the buildings wouldn't fall. It didn't always work out for him in most case's.

"Milo! Milo sir help!" Jamisen yelled out to him, he was trying to get his fellow officer out of the fire. It had only crawled up to his thighs before Jamisen could fully get the fire off him.

"MILO!"

The yell finally got the sheriff out of his sight. Milo looked away from the fight that had his eyes caught to look back at the two of his friends. He ran over and helped out the last of the fire that was on Ronny's feet. The sheriff pulled off his belt and put it above his wounds so that it could contrast the burnt bleeding.

Ronny was crying while trying to stay awake, he tossed around, yelling about the pain. "We'll get you help soon. Just hang on." Milo pulled hard on the belt, looking up to Jamisen who seemed to not know what to do. "Call an ambulance," he ordered.

Jamisen looked around, hearing an oncoming boom and then the villain laughed maniacally. He turned back to his sheriff. "Right now? T-The two are fighting! They won't come until they are done, along with the fireman!'

Milo cursed, looking up in the direction of the fight. More bursts of fire echoed out, the villain throwing the rubble around in the direction of him. Oxzy dodged them, moving around the air so the rubble that was thrown doesn't hit the buildings. The fight was slow, they didn't exactly hit each other other than Pierce knocking the hero over a couple of times.

Even if Jamisen wasn't the smartest right hand man, he was right about the ambulance. Since the two had been fighting nowadays, there are new rules to accompany it. When a fight starts between the two, the help won't arrive in the area as long as trash and other things are thrown around. It makes it dangerous for them to do their job and would endanger more of their equipment that had already been destroyed once before. So to say, the rule was made after realizing the 'mistakes.'

The sheriff had to wait until the fighting was over to get his friend help. But he couldn't wait that long.

Milo stood up, dashing down the stairs and out the crumbling door. He heard Jamisen yell after him. Ignoring the fearful friend, Milo kept running to the fight. Ruble tumbled around him, he didn't have to dodge much since all the parts of buildings landed near the ends of other buildings.

The sheriff looked up once again, shielding his eyes from dust, trying to see what was happening. He couldn't exactly see what was happening, only that the hero was moving himself around on the ground to keep parts of buildings from crashing and breaking more things. He turned and ducked, using a bright blue line of cold crystals to hold things up from damage, and Milo could see piles of sweat pour from his face.

Milo turned, trying to look at the villain, only, Pierce was too hard to see. He was constantly in the air, or on buildings with black dust all around him. Milo gave up trying to look at him, he moved so he was closer to the hero who was on the ground by an open light shop.

Being so close to the hero, Milo could more clearly see him. First, the sheriff went out of the chaos and by a post to hide, he was still close enough, so he tried to call out for the hero's attention.

Oxzy was leaning halfway down. He was using a lot of his energy by keeping things from hitting the building and his whole surroundings. He was still standing, feeling sweat fall from his pale face mixing in with the curly black hair of his. He took a deep breath in.

He had to get this over with. Pierce was only playing with him.

A "whisper" like shout came from his left, Oxzy turned to the noise hoping to find nothing, but he met eyes with the shaking sheriff. The man was leaning on a post out of Pierce's view, his blue attire messy with dust littering his blonde hair. Oxzy was about to yell at him to leave before getting injured, only Milo beat him to it.

"You need to finish this! Get him to stop some way quickly so we can call an ambulance!" He yelled out, looking as fierce as his voice sounded to get his point across.

He didn't have to say it twice. Oxzy was already thinking of ways to finish this. He was getting tired and he knew this can't last too long or things definitely would be more destroyed and a person in need would get no help.

His train of thoughts got interrupted by a soft chuckle from in front of him, it sounded dark, almost pitiful. The hero growled in clear annoyance, Peirce was already on him.

A fly by pits of black sparking dust came at the tired hero. Shielding himself the best he could, Oxzy took the blow to his arms, flying and hitting the light store behind him. Luckily, he hit the bricks and not the glass, his back let out a loud crack, tumbling bricks rained from above him.

The move was fast, leaving no time for Oxzy to let out any noise from his vocals. His back felt shattered, his body slowly falling to the broken bricks under him with one's coming from above.

It hit his head and shoulders on the way down, making the man groan and wince at all the pain surfacing his body. Hot blood fell down his head, his arms and legs felt weak with his spine probably being broken. The hit definitely was meant to down him, if he hadn't been distracted, he could have seen it and taken the hit with much less damage. But of course, he was distracted and had to pay with the pain he received.

The dark chuckle was heard again, the hero slowly opened his eyes, ignoring the blood to see the villain walking over to him.

"Uhugg.." Oxzy internally groaned in annoyance, knowing what's to come.

"Should have seen that coming," his voice menacingly called out. He kept his steps steady, moving closer, his eyes never leaving the hero's glare. "You're getting stupider and stupider. Probably because of all the people here." He was one foot away from the hero, he leaned his top half to give the man below him a good look.

The hero fought back the urge to move away, he took the sinister look Pierce gave him. The sadistic eyes and smile, Oxzy could never get used to that.

"You might someday bore me. But I doubt it, seeing you like this.." The villain licked his lips, eyeing the hero's bruised body and stained face. "Excites me beyond belief."

"Mmhg…!" The words seemed to freeze Oxzy, he couldn't move from the pain, and this wasn't the first time Pierce would say such things. It just felt… Personal…

A short but loud shot came from behind the two, Pierce moved sideways, feeling a burning sensation rocket through his right shoulder from behind. Turning to face where the shot came from, the villain only rolled his eyes on seeing Milo standing a few feet behind him with his gun raised at his chest.

He either missed, or did it on purpose.

"Back up slowly Pierce!" He yelled out with a forceful bellow.

The sheriff tried to seem strong, not scared at all of what he knows the villain can do to him. The spiky red haired male sneered at him, turning in the direction, the pain was numbing paired to his anger.

He was interrupted by a small "inconvenience." His feet stomped hard underneath him as he walked closer to the sheriff, Milo in turn, took a few fearful steps back. He yelled out a shaking voice and a few warnings. Only, Pierce let it fall on deaf ears.

Blood fell from his shoulder. The bullet almost fully penetrated him, his eyes never subsided with its full angry fury. While he stepped closer, his thoughts were thinking of ways to torture the officer. So many fun thoughts crossed him, giving way to a dark malicious smile.

Milo gave one more shout, that paired with another gun fire.

It missed. This time, not even touching the villain who was only a few feet away. Milo looked at him in shock, the gun shaking in his death grip.

Pierce gave him a smile, his hand moving at a speed in front of him where the sheriff could only feel a hot pressure on his face before the villain was knocked away. He stood still shaking with his gun pointing forward as the villain was no longer in front of him.

The ground beneath the human officer shook hard, making him fall and his gun fly away from his white shaking hands. He landed on his back, moving away and to the post in fear of what was happening.

Oxzy had managed to get his body up from the rubble, the shaking from the ground was an oncoming barrage of tree trunks coming from a small tree at his left. He forced it to grow at a rapid speed, hitting the villain away from the officer and to where he was once standing.

Pierce recovered quickly, landing on his hands and knees to give the hero a look. Oxzy turned back to him, holding his ribs with a slanted body, giving a glare to the villain who turned to the look. He doesn't know what he was hoping for next, the hero just needed to get the villain away and get it over with.

A few more seconds of them looking at each other, Pierce let out a snicker. "Got energy left? How fun~" His voice itched with annoyance.

Oxzy stayed silent, giving the villain a good glare before the trunks of the tree he grew came from behind him. He covered the officer who was still on the ground from the man's gaze. Pierce in turn, looked at him in fake surprise.

Even with the blood and bristle pain going through both parties, they took threatening steps to one another. Blood littering underneath them and staining the ground, eyes locked with each in each step. Gray blue and brown fought with each other.

A smile crossed Pireces dusty face. He stopped first, only a foot from the hero with his arm outstretched and tree itching forward. Oxzy followed after, stopping as to not meet the villain, but keeping his stance at the ready for any sudden movements.

"You always surprise me." He gave a half-lidded look to Oxzy, swinging back his arm and to the air. Before Oxzy could react, a blink of dust emerged out of nowhere, enclosing the villain in a heap and before the hero knew it. The evil man had disappeared.

It was followed by a low and soft cracking of fire. Only no fire was to be seen, only the sound surrounded the tired and wounded hero. He let himself fall to the ground as the trunks of the tree disappeared from covering the now standing officer. Milo took glances around him, seeing the street being a mess, though nothing else was broken.

He took out his call patch, giving a command to Jamisen to give a go ahead on the ambulance call. With that, he put it away and took another look around, he turned to where the hero was, seeing the only broken building being the light shop. Bricks fell by a deformed tree that had unhinged brown trunks circling to keep the building from falling apart.

The sheriff finally caught sight of the hero, Oxzy was on the floor, holding onto his ribs while his face was full of discomfort. Red smears of blood all over his clothes paired with his ripped skin falling from his bones.

"Mghh…" Small moans of distress came from his chapped lips. He stayed on the dusty floor, not waiting for anything or anyone.

Milo sucked in a breath, looking down at the man he felt pity and guilt wash over him. He stood up and rushed to his side, moving his arm to try and move the hero in a sitting position.

"Ahh…!" Oxzy let out breaths of pain, wanting to curse at the officer who tried to help.

He bit his tongue, letting what was happening happen. "Breath Oxzy, breath." The sheriff gave soft words of instructions to the hero.

"Mghh…" Oxzy felt like he was suffocating every time he took a breath. It was painful, but it was smarter to do so.

Milo called to Jamisen again, ordering an ambulance to his location on the streets of the fight to get help for Oxzy.

The hero stopped him, grabbing onto the call patch and moving it away. Milo didn't fight back, he gave the hero a weird look, trying to understand why he evaded the help.

Finding his voice, Oxzy closed his eyes when responding. "There is no need… ugh- I can heal myself.. This isn't the first time." He coughed a few times, trying his best to get on his feet.

Curses and small groans came from him as he failed to do so, falling back over and almost toppling on the ground. If not for the sheriff to be by his side, Milo caught him before the hero ruined his body more. The sheriff was not too taller than the hero, he was indeed sturdier and stronger in his training, so he could hold onto and support the hero more than Oxzy expected.

With his arm around the hero's body, he moved his other hand off his call patch to move the hero so that the injured man was using him to support his weight. Milo could hold him, he held him tightly to his side, looking around to see what his options were next.

He didn't know what to do now, his instincts were to call and help service for Oxzy as he did for his company. Only, the hero refused it. Milo could tell it wasn't the first time he refused such things. After almost every fight, the hero would be injured almost all the time. Sometimes it's not this bad, but if it was, Oxzy would just run away to heal by himself. He never asked for assistance from the town, neither did Pierce. Which was understandable on his part.

All Milo knew what to do was bring Oxzy to his home where he could feel safe enough to heal. But he didn't know where Oxzy lived. No one did.

The officer let out a frustrated sigh, unconsciously gripping tightly onto the hero in his grasp.

"Ahg!" He let out a small yelp of pain, a rocket of cold spikes almost hitting the sheriff in reflex. Milo pulled back, holding the hero softer this time as he looked at the small cold crystal spike that was an inch from running through his body.

He felt a bit unsafe holding the hero, looking down to see the man hunched over, now fully using the sheriff as weight to stay standing.

"Hahh.. Mmmurg.." Small whines came from him, shocking the sheriff even more. He had never seen the hero in such a position like this.

A feeling surfaced with him, for some reason, he looked at the hero with astonishment, like he had realized something shocking. The hero was acting human, he was weak and hurt in front of the sheriff.

He had unknowingly hurt the hero, almost getting himself killed in the process as he did not expect Oxzy to do something so 'uncontrolled'. He felt a bit unsafe, but knew if he kept his grasp soft but sturdy, the hero wouldn't feel pain from him, and would be on his feet.

But now was the time to know what to do. Milo had no clue, so he decided to suck a breath in and look at the hero. "Oxzy. What do you want to do if you refuse help from your people?"

What he said wasn't wrong, it baffled him why the hero would listen and obey everything the people, and HIM himself told the hero what to do and Oxzy did it. Only, when it came to this matter. Oxzy was stern and quick with his end result. Not getting help from his town people, going back to recover himself, and with that. Milo didn't feel like prying. For some reason, he felt an urge to just listen to that matter. Even if he could easily force the hero into coming with him with his command. He didn't want to.

Maybe it was pity, or guilt. But he just did what Oxzy told him to do next. Keeping his grip firm and light, Milo led the hero in his police car to go where the hero wanted. Setting him down gently, Oxzy gave a few winces, trying to cover them up but he knew Milo heard and saw everything already.

A moment of silence passed them, Oxzy keeping his gaze down as Milo secured him before stopping. It was only silence, making the hero feel uncertain after asking for the officer's help.

"You're surprisingly good at hiding things, hero." Milo voiced out, having Oxzy turn in the direction to be faced with him. He gave the sheriff a questioning look yet intriguing look. "Well.. In some cases, I could understand now at least. But this is the first time I have seen you act… Human."

"I am not human." Oxzy replied quickly, having Milo turn to him in confusion. "If I were, I would not be made with the abilities of life…" Oxzy sighed, turning back around from Milo's close face. The sheriff didn't know how to respond, so Oxzy asked for him to take him to Parrway on the streets and he could make it home by himself.

Milo was still unsure, but he did what was told, standing up and traveling to his door. While on the ride, he couldn't help but feel a familiar tight feeling in his chest when he thought about the hero and how close he was to him. He knew what that feeling was, so he hid and ignored it as much as he could.
