Frans's Plan

Stefan stared deeply at the report Esben had made. In the report, his gamma pack could only report that the prison where Stefan had met Ullric had been burned to ashes by someone. But who burned it or whether the witch who owned the place knew the truth or not, they couldn't be sure to that extent.

In accordance with their agreement, Stefan had begun searching for information about the wizard Ullric was referring to after he accepted Ullric as part of his pack. Although they hadn't gotten any valuable information, for now, Stefan was confident that it would only be a matter of time before they could track down the witch's whereabouts. Besides relying on his connections with other packs, Stefan was also quite well-known among the humans. He had enlisted the help of private detectives to track down the witch and spent a considerable amount of money just to find her faster.

From now on, Stefan must always be prepared to go to war with the witch and her hunters. They obviously couldn't wait for the witch to attack them first, or Stefan might lose the rest of his pack.

Stefan shifted his gaze to look at Esben and Jorgen standing in front of him before he gave orders to his two trusted men.

"Esben, tell the others that from now on, I will enforce the rule that every pack member must be accompanied by a pack warrior if they are going out. If there is anything suspicious, anyone should report it to me as soon as possible."

"Then Jorgen, keep tracking this witch until we find her exact location. And if you manage to find her, let me know before you do anything else. If what Ullric said is true, that witch is an ancient witch that can even wipe out ancient werewolves. We must not underestimate her power no matter what."

When Jorgen heard Ullric's name, his brows involuntarily knitted together. The humiliation he received in the training room was still seared into his mind. Jorgen still couldn't believe that a werewolf like Ullric had been true to his word all along. The truth about the witch's power was also probably false since Jorgen had not found any witch power from the ruins of the prison where he had investigated everything.

If the witch really did have strong powers, the residue of her powers should have remained in that place. Yet in that place, Jorgen could not detect anything, so he could only conclude that the witch was not as powerful as Ullric had been talking.

Just because Ullric was known to be Lulla's destined mate, Jorgen felt that everyone had lost their guard against the foreign alpha. Jorgen felt that only he was sane at the moment. And because of that, Jorgen would never let Ullric rule the Silver Pack as he saw fit.

Before Jorgen saw the wizard in person, the gamma was determined not to be taken in by Ullric's words. After all, most witches had merged with humans and were living peacefully nowadays. Jorgen thought perhaps the witch had finally figured out that their opponent was a powerful pack, so she preferred to flee with the rest of her men.

After all, the Silver Pack was known as one of the most powerful werewolf packs in their country. Even if the opponent was a witch, Jorgen was sure to retreat once he realized he had offended the wrong person.

"I understand, Alpha."

But in Stefan's presence, Jorgen could only follow Esben and answer their alpha's orders obediently. In his heart, Jorgen was determined that he would prove to the arrogant ancient werewolf that the witch Ullric feared was not as powerful as he had imagined.

In another room, someone finally woke up feeling better. Thanks to the ointment Ullric brought to Lulla last night, the girl no longer felt pain in some parts of her body when she woke up in the morning. Frans's ointment always had an effective effect. But usually, Lulla was too lazy to ask for the ointment because of her brother's fussy mouth.

"You're finally awake, Sleeping Beauty."

Lulla immediately glared in annoyance when the person she was talking about turned out to be in her room all this time. Her brother, Frans, came to see her with an annoying smile. Lulla knew nothing good would come of the man smiling like that. Her good feelings were completely shattered as she stared at her brother with hostility clearly visible in her beautiful eyes.

"I'm not bleeding, so you don't have to worry about me accidentally using my powers."

Frans let out a small sigh as his sister spoke to him in a harsh tone as soon as she woke up. When Frans remembered the obedient and cute little Lulla, sometimes the man was confused as to where this rebellious and snappy sister came from.

"I didn't come because of that. While you were still sleeping peacefully, Stefan had given orders to each pack member to ask one of the pack warriors to accompany them if they wanted to go out. Stefan remembered that you had asked his permission to go to the mall today. So, my sweet little sister, I think you must ask Ullric to accompany you to the mall today if you still want to go out."

As one of the warrior members of the pack, Lulla already knew that their pack might be fighting a witch because of the incident of one of their pack members dying after being captured by the witch. But one thing she didn't understand was ....

"Why do I have to be accompanied by that guy? I'm also a pack warrior. I don't need anyone to protect me."

Even before Frans came, he already knew that his sister would answer that way. But Frans was not called an annoying brother for nothing. The man smiled wickedly before he spoke in a distressed tone to his younger sister.

"I see ... Then, did you know that Stefan has been very busy since this morning? Since Luna hasn't returned from her trip, he's been worried about everything. Lulla, I know you are a strong girl. However, you know how Stefan is, right? Coupled with his concern for Luna's condition, I'm sure you'll only make him more anxious if you insist on going there alone."

When Frans saw his sister start to soften herself after he brought up his brother's name, he immediately put his second plan into action before Lulla could change her mind again.

"Besides, do you think other pack members are willing to accept Ullric as their guard? That guy doesn't know the rules of the human world, doesn't know how to get along, and has a strange appearance. Besides you, who can actually do everything, who else should he go to if he wants to go out? Don't you see his existence pitiful?"

Lulla thought about Ullric's actions yesterday, then finally agreed to compromise. After all, she still had that man to thank. Being willing to go with him whenever she had to go out did not seem to be a difficult thing for the girl.

Lulla finally nodded, making Frans, who was a little worried about his sister's stubbornness, finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Frans didn't know how bad Ullric's relationship with his sister was at the moment. But as a doctor in his pack, Frans knew that Lulla would only endanger her own life if she continued to reject Ullric's existence. The mate bond was deeper and more sacred than Lulla had ever thought. After Frans learned that his sister had a mate, he was determined to help bring Lulla a little closer to Ullric.

By spending more time together, Lulla should be able to get to know her mate better. That principle was in line with Lulla's dislike of sudden relationships. Frans nodded with satisfaction as he was proud of his plan.

"In case you didn't know, Ullric is sleeping in room number 76. I don't know if he's awake or not. But I thought it wouldn't hurt if you looked for him in his room first."

Lulla was just about to nod. But her movement stopped midway when she felt something strange.

" ... I think ... He was in the practice room though. Strange. How can I think like this?"

Frans tapped Lulla lightly on the forehead, which resulted in a fierce look from the girl.

"Your thinking is proof that your mate relationship is real, Lulla. You can feel where he is, and he can feel the same. That way, mates can protect each other. Isn't that a beautiful thing?"

Lulla subconsciously furrowed her brow, clearly not happy about this new invention.

"Being able to track the whereabouts of others at any time is not a beautiful thing. What would happen if I was in the bathroom? Will he know that I'm in the shower because of that?"

Frans couldn't believe that Lulla would even think of such a thing. The man sighed tiredly before he dragged Lulla from sitting on her bed.

"Don't underestimate mate relationships, Lulla. A mate relationship is a sacred relationship. The feelings that the mate has do not arise from lust, but sincerely from the bottom of her heart. You will find out someday."

Lulla, who was pushed to enter the bathroom by Frans, could only be silent and pensive. She asked herself, will she really be able to feel it someday?
