Prologue

I am at the tombstone of my late parents and I have realized something very important about life. I found out that the people you really love and trust can betray you, there is a saying: 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer'.

Experience has taught me not to trust people easily because they can end up stabbing you in the back.

I also realized that trust is something that must be earned and not something that is being given out. I have learned not to trust people so easily because I might not know their true intentions towards me. My parents died a very painful death because they trusted so easily.

My name is Rhian Amor Bonifacio and this is my story.
