12. Dangers, Threats and Warnings

The next morning, I woke up very early in order to follow my parents to their work place. I had my bath and I checked my wardrobe looking for a suitable clothing to wear to a workplace then I found a black turtleneck with a red flay skirt matched with a brown heel then I curled my hair and I applied simple makeup. I picked up a blue hand bag and I rushed downstairs to have breakfast with my family.



"Good morning Pa"

"Good morning Ma"

"Good morning dear". They responded simultaneously

We all giggled

"Where's Maya?"

"She'd already left to meet your aunt Roma". Ma replied

"Alright, she's always early to everywhere". I said and I waved my hands in the air.

We all laughed.

After breakfast we headed to the company. I was in awe on how dad had renovated the company within a month. We drove towards the car park and we highlighted from the car. I spotted uncle Armando and Mr. Hyung but it looked as if they were engaged in a heated conversation.

"Uncle Armando! Mr. Hyung! Good morning, what's going on. You two look as if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed".

"Good morning Amor, nothing is wrong. We were just discussing something important". Uncle Armando replied.

"Good morning Rhian, don't worry, come with me and I will teach you all you need to know". Mr. Hyung replied.

I felt uneasy but I just shrugged it off.

"Bye uncle Armando, see you soon".

"Bye Amor, love you dear"

Mr. Hyung taught me alot of things about the company and we started getting closer and I also began to trust him very much.

I also knew how to create new inventions so that also gave me a boost. I created a jacket that could be worn which contained all the things needed for a camping trip without any heavyweight or load. The jacket was very light and it could also adapt to changing weather conditions. This really impressed my parents alot

"Rhian we have made a decision. You are now the heir to all our companies around the world. Bonifacio Corporation is now passed down to you. You have shown your level of competence and maturity and we are proud of you". Replied Pa.

"I'm so proud of you Rhian". Replied Ma.

"Thanks Ma and Pa. I really appreciate". I replied and I squealed

I hugged them both.

The news was announced in the company and everyone congratulated me including Maya, Yna, Ji-yoo and Noah.

Uncle Armando and Mr.Hyung were really proud of me

Day by day I would come to the company to offer help and the company thrived better and better.

I arrived at the company and I saw Mr. Hyung and a lady standing beside him. I went towards their direction

"Mr.Hyung...good morning". I greeted

"Kim, sweet heart". Jisoo said and she tapped him.

"Jisoo, I'm here dear".replied Mr. Hyung

" Morning Rhian". Mr. Hyung replied. "Jisoo, meet Rhian. Heir to the company and also Mr. and Mrs. Bonifacio's daughter".

"Hello Rhian, I'm Jisoo and I'm Kim's wife. I'm glad to meet you".

"Hi, you are pregnant, congratulations".

"Thanks but it's my ninth month and I would give birth anytime soon".

"Ok"

"You are so pretty"



"Thanks"

"Congratulations Mr.Hyung, you will soon be a father"

"Thanks Rhian".

Then we heard a loud scream, we turned to see Jisoo on the floor crying and screaming .

"We need to take her to the hospital, I will call the driver".

"Thanks Rhian ".

We managed to get her into the car and the driver sped to the hospital.

"Nurse!Doctor!please help my wife, she's in labour right now and she needs help".

This was the first time I had seen Mr. Hyung so scared.

Some Nurses and Doctors came and she was immediately attended to.

After some hours, the doctor called us inside the room to see the baby and Jisoo. It was such a cute baby girl.

"Jisoo you really scared me, thank you for making me a father".

He kissed her lips passionately for a while

"Um..h I'm here, I don't think I should see this".

They all laughed at me.

Mr Hyung carried the baby girl and he named her "Lisa"

I also carried Lisa and she looked so peaceful while sleeping

I told the nurse to take Lisa to another room so that Jisoo could sleep.

Mr. Hyung and I stayed with Lisa as the Nurse cleaned her up and dressed her. Then we heard a scream and it was coming from Jisoo's room. We ran there immediately.

"Nurse what is it?"Mr. Hyung asked

Then she pointed at Jisoo.

We came close to her and she wasn't moving, she looked lifeless.

The Doctor came to examine her.

"Sorry sir, sorry miss, but she's no more".

Mr. Hyung staggered back a little and he dropped down on the floor, tears flowing down. I consoled him but I was shocked to find out that she was dead. I came closer to her corpse and I found hand prints on her neck and her neck was red.

"Mr. Hyung, this was not an accident, it is a murder. She was strangled to death".

Mr.Hyung moved close to his wife's corpse and he sobbed on her body. I felt bad for him because he was just about celebrating a complete family then this tragedy struck.

I was looking through the room when I found a note on top of the bedside table . I took it and I showed Mr.Hyung.

I read the note aloud

"This is just the beginning, I will continue hurting you(Mr.Hyung),even the Bonifacio's are not out of my destructive grip. Keep your daughter close or she might be next".

I was starting to get frightened and I didn't want any of my family members and friends to be hurt. The police arrived and they began investigating the crime. They offered our family and Mr.Hyung and Lisa security because of the threats.

After two days, Mr. Hyung performed a funeral for his wife. He really loved her and I wondered how he would take of Lisa all by himself. Sometimes I would look after Lisa when he was really busy but that wasn't enough, he needed a wife. After grieving his wife for some weeks, he remarried but he wasn't happy with the marriage. He only got married for the sake of Lisa.

After this incident, my parents were very watchful of me and they made sure I didn't go out alone.

I woke up one fateful day during the weekends and I went downstairs. Then I saw two men sitting on the couch in the sitting room. I came closer to see their faces and I squealed when I saw them.

"Uncle Diego!Uncle Dominic! Hi". I ran and hugged both of them

Uncle Diego and Uncle Dominic were also my uncles and I really loved going out with them. They just relocated to new Jersey and I was really happy about it.

"Hello Rhian, how is my queen doing?"Uncle Diego replied

"I'm fine".

"How are you doing beautiful?". Uncle Dominic added

"I'm doing great".

"You flatter me too much Uncles". I said and I blushed

"You are our niece afterall". They replied and I sat on the couch close to them.

"What about me Uncles, I'm I not your niece too". Maya asked from behind us

"Maya dear, I'm so glad to see you babe". Uncle Diego replied

"Me too, you've grown so beautiful even more than your twin sister". Uncle Dominic replied

"Thanks uncles". Maya replied and she hugged them.

"That's not fair Uncle Diego, you called her babe what about me. Uncle Dominic I'm I not beautiful too". I asked and I stood up

"Come on my queen, don't be jealous. I love the both of you equally". Uncle Dominic replied

"Yes sweetie, I love you both". Uncle Diego replied.

We hugged our Uncles and we all laughed

I went to my room to freshen up so that Maya and I could go out with Uncle Diego and Dominic. Then my phone began to ring.

"Hello Noah".

"Hi cutie, what's up?any plans for tonight".

I blushed

"I'm going out with my Uncles, wanna come".

"Love to but I am packing for my vacation trip to Italy and the flight's tomorrow morning".

"Really, why didn't you inform me earlier"

"Sorry Rhian, it skipped my mind and my parents didn't inform me earlier".

"Ok"

"I'll miss you Noah, bring souvenirs for me".

"Yes of course, my girlfriend is already missing me and I will miss her too"

I giggled

"Bye Noah".

"Bye Rhian".

I wondered why Noah didn't inform me of his vacation trip earlier. I shrugged it off and I searched for something nice to wear. I called Yna and Ji-yoo already and they would meet us up at the mall.

As we were passing through the mall, I saw uncle Armando with a woman and they were shopping.

"Uncle Armando!". I rushed to hug him

"Hello Amor, how are you? What brings you here dear"

"I'm fine, I came here for shopping with Uncle Diego and Dominic, Maya and my friends".

"So you didn't invite me too, am I not your Uncle too".

"Sorry Uncle, I thought you were busy with work . But I guess you were busy with someone".

He looked nervous and I laughed

"Armando, who's this pretty lady". Uncle Diego asked and he came closer.

"Well Diego, she's my fiance. I just proposed to her today ".

"Really that's nice. Finally I will have another aunt".

"Uncle Diego, Uncle Dominic please get a girl and get married so that I will have lots of aunt's and also lots of cousins". Maya said and she folded her hands.

We all laughed

"Hello, I'm Rhian". I stretched out my hands for an handshake

"Hello, I'm Amelia".



"Wow, I love your name".

"Thanks Rhian you are a very pretty lady".

I blushed

"You are also very beautiful"

"Thanks"

"You must be Maya, nice to meet you".

"Nice to meet you too". Maya shook her hands

"So when is the wedding Uncle".

"Very soon, I will discuss it with your parents".

"Let's go for shopping aunt Amelia, only girls please".

I glared at Ji-yoo to go with my uncles and not to disturb us girls.

Aunt Amelia was so nice and she will be a great wife to Uncle Armando. After the shopping spree, we made Uncle Armando to pay for everything we bought and he was so mad at us because we almost made him broke but I was so happy spending time with family. After the shopping, we had family dinner with all the family members at my house and I felt relieved and satisfied.
