Having risen to unimaginable heights through battling many gates over the years, his glory was renowned throughout the world and was said to be one of the few hunters that would pave the path to a brighter future for their generation.

Yet, that was all thrown out of the window.

Almost a decade after The Great Awakening which shook the entirety of Terra, the Hunter "Ace" stood before many people as he announced something that no one could've ever imagined.

"Today, I will be announcing my retirement."

Yes. That day marked the end of one Hunter's journey.

Though, it was not out of his own free will.

Levelling by the Sidelines

Following the blonde-haired man's expression of disbelief, Landon stared at Jace in utter shock.

"What?" In response, the young man only blinked. "Is hotpot not to your liking?"

"No, I like hotpot! But, that's not the point here!" Landon cried out, grabbing onto Jace's shoulders in the next moment. "Lazy Eyes, are you okay??? You of all people... Want to go to a crowded place???"

"Ah... That..." The black-haired man coughed. "I uh, just feel like it today."

"...???" Upon listening to his explanation, Landon was left speechless. "You... Huh? Y-You didn't go crazy from all that testing earlier, right???"

"...thank you for the concern, but I'm perfectly fine and well," he sighed helplessly. "Look, there's no particular reason here. I just thought it'd be nice to eat out at a hotpot place today. It just so happens the one I've been meaning to check out is almost always crowded... So, there's that."
