HURT HER AND APOLOGIZE

Mia's eyes widened seeing who it was.

But she composed herself, she wasn't into him anymore, but just surprised he was here, in the maids quarters.

" Hi is Pearl in" Mike asked looking behind Mia

Mia rolled her eyes seeing his actions

" Yes she's in, should I call her"

" Mia who's there" Pearl asked from behind.

Mia turned to Pearl and gave her some space.

Pearl looked at Mike stunned

" Ooh, hey Mike what are you doing here, come in" Pearl urged him in.

Mike gave her a smile and went in.

" Here" Pearl showed him to the only old couch in the room and Mike sat.

Mia was already on her bed lying and reading her novels.

Pearl went to the table and poured him a glass of water and handed it to him, sitting on the space close to him.

All through, Mike's eyes were on her, admiring her.

He drank from the glass if water and faced Pearl.

" How have you been, am sorry I didn't get to check on you, hope you are fine" Mike asked worriedly.

Pearl smiled" am fine, i should be worried about you instead, how is your wound faring, does it still hurt" Pearl asked trying to check his hand.

" You don't need to worry am fine" Mike smiled looking into her eyes.

Pearl also looked into his eyes.

They were lost staring at each other lost in their world's, oblivious of Mia in the room.

Mike leaned closer while Pearl just stared anticipating on what would happen next.

When Mike face was just an inch away from her face, she closed her eyes and felt Mike's lips on hers, kissing her slowly.

Pearl didn't respond quickly but was about responding, when

Mia's eyes widened looking at them and just then the door burst opened revealing Fred.

Mia's eyes widened more seeing Fred who was looking at them furiously, she quickly hopped off the bed.

They were still kissing when Fred walked to them and pulled Mike up.

He didn't wait for any seconds before landing a blow on Mike's face.

Mike staggered back, Fred went to him giving him several blows in the face and Mike's lips and face was full with blood.

" Mike!!" Pearl called frightfully.

She ran to them, and held Fred's hand that was about landing another blow on Mike.

" Stop it Fred, do you want to kill him, let him go" Pearl yelled at Fred.

Fred looked at her with bloodshot eyes" let go off my hand this instant"

" No I won't, you would kill him" Pearl said stubbornly still holding his hand tightly

" PEARL" Fred groaned angrily as he sees she's trying to save the bastard.

Pearl didn't budge and insisted on holding him back.

Mia stood too shocked on the incident, she couldn't even do anything.

Mike stood up to his foot, facing Fred.

" Let go off him Pearl, that's what he knows how to do after all, killing people.

C'mon Fred, you can't win over her with this attitude of yours, no girl wants a monster as their lover, Pearl won't choose you she has other option, and do you know who that person is" Mike asked smirking looking at Fred mockingly as he continued

" Me, am the option she would choose, why?, Because I love her" he turned to Pearl" have been meaning to tell you this Pearl, I love you very much right from the day I set my eyes on you, I have been dreaming of having you in my arms cradling and kissing you, I have archived one today, which is kissing you, you don't know what it means to me having your soft lips on mine...." He smiled softly at Pearl

Fred was boiling inside as he heard the confession.

He pushed Pearl off him, rushing to Mike and gave him a hard blow that sent him out of the room since he was close to the door and the door is open.

Fred rushed to him again dragging him away from the hallway to an open space.

Pearl ran after them in tears

" No don't hurt him please"

Mia ran after her too

Fred throw him to the wall, making Mike hitting his back on an iron table.

"Ahh" Mike groaned in pains.

This drew many peoples attention as they stood wondering what Mike did for him to be beaten that way.

The clan members were also present there.

Fred rushed to him again giving him hard punches.

Mike was already a mess, with blood dripping all over his face and body.

Fred stood back drawing out his gun.

Jasper rushed to him

" Stop it Fred it hasn't gotten to this" he yelled.

Fred paid deaf ears and shot the gun at Mike.

" Nooo" Pearl yelled and came in front of Mike.

Everything happened in slow motion as the bullet hit her instead.

Everyone's eyes widened.

Fred stiffened.

He lowered the gun in his hands slowly, just standing there too stunned at the turn of events.

Mia quickly ran to Pearl.

" Pearl, OMG"

Mia said in tears.

Jasper ran to the scene, then took Pearl in his arms to madam Maria's room and called the clan's doctor.

Fred still stood there rooted to the ground.

He snapped out then stormed out of there to God knows where.

He drove out of the country clan to cool off his head.

Mike was taken away with the help of Percy and Kace so he could get his wounds treated.

Ebeniz was present too but due to their last encounter she couldn't go to him.

She ran off to her room.

Madam Maria's room***

Jasper dropped her on the bed as the doctor was already there to treat her.

Luckily the bullet hit her left shoulder, so it wasn't too critical, but she was loosing too much blood.

The doctor is a professional one so he removed the bullet.

Jasper could have taken her to the hospital but Fred recommended no one to go to the hospital, reasons best known to him, that's why he had hired a very professional doctor who could treat any sort of wounds with his apparatus.

Pearl winced unconsciously as they removed the bullet.

The doctor did some treatments then dressed the wound.

" She should be given this drugs, and please go her foods with iron in it, she had loosed too much blood, I would have transfused some blood to her but it isn't that critical but I would recommend she eats foods with good nutrients and fruits" the doctor explained.

Jasper nodded and the doctor left.

Mia had been inside the room too at a corner praying for nothing to happen to Pearl.

She walked to her bedside, Pearl is still unconscious.

Mia looked at her pathetically she had really suffered a lot since she had stepped into the clan.

" Wake up fast Pearl, I hope you would be fine"

Jasper went to her and out his hands on her shoulder squeezing it softly consoling her.

She looked up at him, since their last encounter in the kitchen they hadn't seen cuz he had gone for a mission.

She stood up then went into his embrace crying in his arms.

" I hope my Pearl would be fine soon, am scared, I hope she survives it" she said in tears as she hiccupped.

Jasper brought his hand to her back rubbing it slowly.

" It's ok, she would be fine, she just needs some rest, the doctor already said that, it's ok, you don't look good in tears" he teased trying to lighten up the atmosphere.

Mia pulled from the embrace and hit his chest lightly.

" Stop it, I missed you though"

Jasper chuckled

" I missed you too" he kissed her forehead.

" Let's go out so we won't disturb Pearl, she should have some rest"

Mia nodded and they went out.

Later in the midnight***

Fred sneaked into the room Pearl was kept.

After wandering around in the city, he had come back to the clan drunk but concious,but at midnight when everyone was already fast asleep.

The room was dark but the light from the window is the only source of light.

He walked to the bed Pearl was laying.

He had left her too scared to lay his hands on her then.

He had almost killed her out of anger and foolishness.

He bent down watching her face with a sympathetic look on his face.

He hesitated a bit but later took her hand in his.

" Am sorry Pearl, am sorry for all the pains have caused you, it was out of anger and jealousy I pulled the trigger it wasn't meant for you, but seeing you taking his side, pisses me off, you mean a lot to me Pearl, I don't know how it started but I fell for you Pearl, my heart beats rapidly anytime you are with me, I never knew I would fall in love and this is how love feels like, I want to have you in my arms all to myself, please give me a chance" he said as a drop of tears fell from his eyes and he kissed her hand lightly.

" Fr... Fred" a soft light voice called.

Fred immediately raised his head.
