The Streets

"I'd got this, I'd make it for everyone." Joel reassured himself that he would survive this terrible situation. He looked around , he saw no one. He walked for a while he did not encounter anyone but was still ready for anyone or anything that would attack him.

As Joel walked he saw an apartment which had its front door opened. Upon passing it he heard someone screaming from inside the building causing Joel to duck down and look around himself. There was no one yet the scream was loud. Joel looked at the building in front of him. The scream must have come from there Joel knew he had to do something he wanted to help. He kicked the door open and entered the apartment. In front of him there was no one he proceeded to search for the screaming person going further into the apartment. When he went to the upper floors of the building he made it to the hallway of rooms. There was an infected banging on the door of the building trying to get inside. Joel without hesitation yelled at the infected. attention towards him, and rushed towards Joel with incredible speed. Joel had time to take his firearm out and take aim at the rushing infected head and he fired. It dropped dead on the ground.

"It's alright everyone, it's the police you may come out now."

The apartment door that was attacked by the infected creaked open and a little boy slowly stepped out

"Thank you so much officer." The boy said, looking up towards Joel.

Joel went over to the boy and asked him.

"Where are your parents?"

"They left me alone and went shopping."

"You okay?" Joel checked the boy for any injuries.

"No, I am alright but he is not." The boy said, pointing towards the dead infected.

"Yea don't worry he won't harm us." He told the boy.

Joel promised the boy he would take care of him and told him that his parents were in a safe location.

"Ok thanks again for saving me." The boy said.

"No problem."
