Evacuation Sites

After holding the boy in his arms Joel asks his name which he says his name is Henry. After talking to the boy for awhile and getting to know him. They decided to rest and eat since Joel was starving, Henry got food from his fridge and gave to Joel. They also used the fridge to block the door making sure the infected won't get through.

They checked out the window to check their surroundings and saw some infected outside roaming around.

"Hey Henry does your place still have internet connection?"

"Yea it does I was trying to call my mum on my iPhone."

"Alright thank you." Joel said he got the remote and sat with Henry and turned on the news to learn about the outbreak. He switched to the news channel there was a reporter who had told viewers about the virus and it's deadly effects on its living hosts.

News reporter:

"Anyone who is listening to this please listen carefully. Due to the White virus which has started to destroy the town, the military have set up evacuation sites on the outer exits of town.Here is the map of the town showing the locations. Those who are not in the white zone may leave and evacuate the city immediately. If you"re in the White zone please remain indoors and lock them, don't let anyone in and arm yourself against the infected they are highly aggressive.

Joel in mind already knew this from his iPhone. He checked the map and luckily they were out of the white zone which means they could make it to the one of the Evacuation sites.

"I hope my parents are at one of the sites Joel."

"Same here pal."

"Alright we going to go and find your parents, I need you to be strong their are monsters outside meaning you need to also protect yourself." Joel said

"But I can't they are monsters!" Henry said he looked down terrified how thinking about encountering one the infected again.

He kept looking down. Joel pulled Henry closer to him.

"I know it's scary but don't worry they not as scary as you thought."

"Really?" Henry said looking up.

"Yes and for the monsters not to be scary you use this knife to defend yourself."

Joel handed him the knife and upon receiving it he look at it in awestruck.

"My mum told me knifes are dangerous."

"Yea they are but they are useful."

"If I can't help you remember to always avoid the monsters and if you can't fight back and aim for their head do you understand?" Joel said sternly.

"Yes and am not afraid anymore!." Henry said proudly.

They both got ready to leave. After Joel checks his ammunition's and they moved the fridge out the way and left the building. They walk on the sidewalk to the evacuation sites which was still a bit far from their current location. Joel and Henry avoid many of the infected as they were busy easting or chasing other people. The city was no longer safe with the sounds of gunfire and the dead. Joel held Henry hand as they try their best to avoid the infected. They across another street and turn to see a couple of infected next to cars in front them causing Joel to quickly back away and back to the wall were he came from.

"Don't move and stay right here alright?" He told Henry

Joel then checked if the infected were still there. He saw 3 infected in their way and thought of a way to distract or kill the infected. Luckily some gunshots were fired and the infected went away from the area. Joel and Henry continued the way to the evacuation sites.

"Joel how did you get the monsters to leave?" Henry asked Joel

" Someone else shot their gun and the noise from the gun the monsters went to." Joel answered

" Oh I did not know that."

They kept on walking in the sidewalk of the road following Joel google map on his iPhone to the evacuation site. We going to go west and hopefully make it to one of the evac sites.
