Drake helped Alexandra up and escorted her back to the Main Hall. It felt like a long walk, and the air was heavy when they returned to the Main Hall. She could only imagine what all had been said in the Celestial Council’s deliberations, but whatever had been decided already seemed to linger in the air. 


Drake made sure to give Alexandra one more kiss on her forehead before returning to his seat. Alexandra stood on her own for a few minutes before Shaun returned, and it looked like she’d been crying. Alexandra only reached over and held her hand, and Shaun happily held on. Eventually, Orion and James joined them, and James gave both of them a quick hug. 


“Presenting the Celestial Council with Head Councilman Aiden Valerian Bliss presiding,” the attendant announced, and the Celestial Council filtered back into the room.
