Chapter 6: Lotus Flower

I couldn’t hide my smile knowing my girl now is with me. My girl? Where did it come from? I think I’m going crazy.

“Your Highness, you’re great.”

I chuckled. “Thank you. But please don’t praise me. I still have many trials to go through. Praise me then when I am a successful king. I want my kingdom will support me not just because I am the heir or their king, they support me because I deserve to lead the kingdom.”

She clapped. “For sure, the kingdom will proud of you. You’re not just a king but a kind person as well, a good man.”

I smiled. “You’re amazing too. Imagine, you possess a rare power plus you have an amazing other powers as well.”

“Thank you. Maybe because it was born for me.”

We stopped walking. She went ahead and took something. I raised my eyebrows, what did she take?

She faced me and said. “Here, take this lotus flower with you.”

“Why? Is there a reason for that? I didn’t know that there’s lotus flower in this area.”

“Don’t ask. You’ll know the answer soon.” My face became serious after hearing those words. What could be that mean?

“Okay, I get it.”

“Thank you. You will thank me one day.”

I didn’t ask more questions. Maybe, this lotus flower can help my mission. I keep it and combined it to the rose flowers.

“I love how you keep it. Your power as well is amazing.” She commented.

“All of us are unique. Possess every unique gift. It’s up to the person how he manage, handle and care for it.”

She smiled. “You’re right, future King Aldrich.”

I nodded. “By the way, join us. It’s almost lunch time.”

“No. Thank you. I need to go home. Speaking for that, I really need to go now. Thank you.”

“Alright. See you soon.”

I thought I could be with her for a long time but I shouldn't stop her either. She has her own life. I will tie her up when I succeed in the mission. I can't even date her in my current state. I must succeed first before I date her.

I don’t know why I already fall for her. Maybe because she’s the woman of my dreams. Or maybe because I was born for her. Or maybe because we are destined for each other.

So much for that. I need to focus first my mission. Two missions left I will crown as King of the kingdom. So, please guide me God.

“Your Highness, with your permission,….?”

“What it is?”

Heneral Melchor asking me while we’re having lunch. He looked to others as well, asking if it’s okay to ask.

“What it is? Is there any problem?”

“No! There’s none. Hmmm, but….one of the guards saw you earlier, you talk to someone.”

I bite my lips. It’s not the right time they will know about Eurylice.

“And it seems, you’re very close. Are you in a relationship Your Highness?”

I closed my eyes. Shit. I got caught. How can I explained to them? I looked to their faces and based on what I’ve seen they want an answer.

Mr. Rolando laughed, the others also laughed.

“We don't have a problem your highness, all we want to convey is that we support you but I hope you can meet here, we are worried because you are still meeting and talking far away from the mountain.” Mr. Rolando said it while bowing his head.

“He’s right your highness.” Heneral Melchor seconded. “We’re just concern for you.”

I blushed. “Thank your for the support. Thank your for the understanding as well. I’m not actually hiding it from all of you that I met her secretly. It’s not just I don’t think it’s not the right time that you met her, that’s why we see each other in secret.We’re not in a relationship though.”

“But you like her your highness?” I blushed more. I was filled with teasing. The other’s laughed as well.

“Yes, I admit. I like her. But, my focus for now is to finish my mission successfully. I gonna pursue her if everything will be okay.”

“Ayieh!……… Prince Aldrich is in love. That’s why he always smile. He’s happy because he met his other half.”

“Ayieh!……..”

“Stop the teasing. His highness cannot continue eating.”

“Thank you. I promise all of you that I make you proud.”

“We’re here your highness. We are all behind you.”

After our lunch, I go to my tent to take a rest. I received a message coming from Eleazar that all is well in the kingdom. From time to time, he managed to sent me well a message to ensure me that everything is fine and nothing to worry about. I sighed. I already miss my parent’s. An idea come up into a mind. I will bring a gift to my parent’s when I went home.

“What could be the reason why my love gave me this lotus flower?” I looked intently as I watched it separate from the rose flower.

“And some point though, what’s also the reason why I dream about the rose flower? Maybe, it has something to do with my mission.”

After looking this flowers, I keep it. After all, I will know the answers soon. Surely, it has a good cause.

"Eleazar, message me regarding the status of the kingdom. But why is it I haven't heard anything about Khalie or even the identity of Eurylice? It's odd. I don't think Ivorie has no information this time. Maybe he missed it to send me a message about her."

I used my power to send a message to Eleazar. "Tell Eleazar, where's the information about Khalie and what's the identity of Eurylice? Reply me as soon as you received this message."
