CHAPTER 6

[THE NEXT DAY]

NATHAN's POV

"Hey! Nathan Earhl Galacio! Welcome back, honey!"

"Thanks, mom." I smiled and hugged my mommy who had just arrived here at the airport to fetch me. I just came to the Philippines from Korea. I stayed there for almost five years after I resigned from being a teacher. I studied medicine in Korea because that was really the dream I wanted to fulfill in my life. And now, I'm a professional neurosurgeon.

"C'mon, honey. I prepared a lot of food for you at home!" Mom said excitedly after parting from my embrace.

"Really mom? Thanks, mom! I have been starving." I kissed her on her head. "Anyways, where's dad and Sanderson?" I asked as I noticed that there was no Dad and Sanderson's presence here at the airport, only mommy and her two bodyguards.

"You know your dad is busy managing our hospital, right? Don't worry, he'll be going home early today because he knew you were coming. And your brother is in Palawan. You know... for work. For the record, he is a fashion designer." My mom tapped my shoulder, I just shook my head. Got it. That's not new to dad. He really prioritizes his work first. And Sanderson?

"I haven't heard anything from Sanderson. But what? Did he really become a fashion designer now?"

"Yes, son. That's what he really wants to do, so there's nothing we can do about it if he really doesn't want to be a doctor."

Sanderson is hard-headed. Anyways. Mum is right. But why the hell is he not responding to my messages? Tch.

"Okay. Let's go, mom." I smiled at her, pulling out my suitcase, and we left the airport.

"How's Korea, honey? Did you enjoy yourself a lot there?" Mom asked while we were on our way home. I leaned my head on the back seat of the car.

"Of course mom. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm a surgeon now, mom. I can replace dad." I chuckled.

Just kidding. Dad is a great surgeon.

"I'm so proud of you, son! It's really good that you became a great doctor like us. And we really missed you so much, son. I'm sure your dad will be happy to see you."

"Thank you, mom. I miss you too!" I smiled. " But I really wonder why Sanderson didn't continue his medical studies?"

"I don't know either, my son. He always argues with your dad about it. He didn't want to be a doctor." Mom sighed heavily again. "So, we let him do what he wanted. As I said, there's nothing we can do about it." Mom's face looked disappointed.

Little did I know that this had been the case since I had come to Korea. Sanderson didn't even bother to report to me, just because he was afraid that I would scold him.

"I didn't know that he was interested in designing."

"Tsh. That's really weird." I shook my head as I leaned it back to the car window. Biting my nails. 'I think I should go to Palawan'

[HOUSE]

"Book a ticket for me right now. I'm leaving for Palawan at 4 PM." I ordered Taylor on the other line He's my dad's secretary, my secret best friend. He's been serving my dad for almost 10 years, but before that, I met him earlier than my dad. I'm also the reason why he became dad's secretary. In short, he does everything I command him.

"Yes, my buddy. As you wish."

"Thank you bud. I'll see you later."

I ended the call.

I have been calling Sanderson many times, but he has not answered. That brat.

I threw the phone on my soft bed. I pulled my suitcase near to me. I opened it and picked up the few clothes I was going to take to Palawan.

Just then, I heard a knock from outside of my room.

"Come in!" I raised my voice to hear it outside. I know it's mom. She knows it already.

The door opened and mom entered. She closed the door and walked toward me. "Why are you going there suddenly, honey?" she asked as she sat down on my bed, in front of me. Facing and giving me an unknown emotion.

"Mom, I need some rest. And I think Palawan is a good place for me to rest." I zipped the trolls out of my suitcase. "And I have to talk to Sanderson."

"He won't change his mind, son."

"I'm not going to make him change his mind, mom. He's been rejecting my calls, even the emails that I sent to him when I was in Korea. I guess he is mad at me."

"So, can't you wait for your dad to come before you go?" My mom sighed.

I looked at her after I prepared the gear I was going to bring. "Not anymore. I have to leave by 4 PM." I stared at the watch I was wearing. It's already three pm. I need to go by 3:30. "Maybe we can have dinner together when I get back with Sanderson. For now mom, I need to go." I kissed her on the forehead.

"Alright, take care of there, okay? Look after your brother." Mom gave me a sweet smile, but still, there were worries written in her eyes.

"I will. Don't worry. Bye. mom. I love you." I took the bag and suitcase out of my room.

My phone rang as I went out. Taylor calling... "Hey Taylor, I'm on my way. Yeah. OK." The line died. I put my suitcase in the back of the car with the bag. I got in my car and drove away.

When I arrived at the airport, I immediately saw Taylor. I parked my car and got off.

"Nathan!! Fresh from Korea huh?" He tapped my back as he approached me. Whoah? It seems like he is human now. He's wearing a black and white suit, there is a gray necktie. He had a good haircut, not like he had before, with long hair.

"Now you're human," I smirked at him and put my shades on.

He chuckled. "Go get his bag." He ordered the two bodyguards with him to get my things in the car.

"Tsh." I laughed a little.

His bodyguard placed my bag at my side. "Thanks," I said.

"So, you're ready for your flight now? Tssh. You just returned from Korea. You'll leave again?" He raised his right hand and handed me my plane ticket.

"Haha. I need some fresh air from Palawan, I guess. Anyways. Thanks. I'll bring you a Screaming Eagle Cabernet when I get back." One of the most expensive wines.

He chuckled. "Sure. I'll wait. All right, be careful. Have a safe trip, Nath!"

"TSS. Boss." I corrected him.

"I'm just comfortable with you." He laughed and waved at me. I waved back.

"Tsh. Bye, Taylor." I turned my back away from him.

See you Palawan. See you, damn brat, Sanderson.
