THE MASQUERADE BALL

[LUCA]

A hush descended over the entire hall, accompanied by faint oohs and aahs, sighs of admiration from the onlooking crowd as they gazed up at the most beautiful woman in the world, who had just appeared at the top of the grand staircase.

She was dressed in an elegant, two-tone tulle ball gown that exposed her porcelain shoulders. Her corseted top and sleeves were deep burgundy, gradating to a soft cream shade down her full, layered skirt. Tiny, sparkling stones were embroidered all over her dress, catching the light every time she moved.

Diamonds adorned her bare neck and ears. Similar tiny sparkling stones studded her long black hair that was piled on top of her head in a sophisticated coiffure. A silver and black lace mask obscured half of her face, drawing attention to her painted red lips and giving her an air of mystery.

She was ethereal. She was beautiful.
