IS THIS THE END?

Seeing that my mind wasn't fully in the present yet, Elliot grabbed my hand and fought his way through the enemies in our path, hauling me along, until we made it to the edge of the woods by the sloping hill.

"Stay here," he told me, pushing me down behind a tree. "Don't hesitate to use your weapon, Your Highness!"

I snapped out of my daze. "Don't go! Please," I begged, grabbing onto his arm.

Elliot looked at me. His blonde curls were matted with blood. "I'll stay with you. Don't worry," he said, attempting a reassuring tone upon seeing the terror in my eyes.

Even while he remained with me, he still couldn't escape the fighting. We were gradually being pushed back up the hill as more enemies charged at Elliot. I kept myself further back so I wouldn't get in the way. None of the attackers got past him.
