NOT SURE IF I STILL WANTED IT

I was afraid Luca would argue and insist on pushing on. I'm glad he didn't.

I changed the subject so he wouldn't have time to think more about what I'd said. "Anyway, about clothes, are there more?" I asked.

Luca ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah. They're too big for you, though. But that's okay; I'll figure something out," he answered. "Would you like me to take you to the waterfall?"

"Yes, a bath would be nice," I agreed.

The waterfall was about a five-minute walk from the cabin. It astonished me to see the beaten path leading straight to it. The cabin's previous owner must have built the cabin with the waterfall's location as the basis.

Because of the torrential rain last night, the lake's water level seemed higher than before, the current moving swiftly towards the connecting stream. I was happy to see that the flowers in the meadow hadn't been washed away.
