Chapter 21: Betrayed By Love

I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes, everything was a blur and the room was pitch black. I couldn't remember how I ended up here, and my head was throbbing with pain. As my vision adjusted as I opened my eyes in a dark room and saw Yuna standing in front of me. At first, I was shocked, but then I realized I wasn't stranded or anything, and Yuna was just standing there waiting for me to wake up. When I got up and looked at her, she didn't say anything and just looked back at me. I trusted her, but what the hell did she do with it? I finally snapped and yelled at her, "YOU SHOT ME!"

Yuna finally snapped back at me, "DO YOU WANTED TO DIE BACK THEN? I TOLD YOU TO TRUST ME. WTF DID YOU DO THAT FOR? AND AS FOR THE RECORD, THE BULLET WAS NON-LETHAL. GOD DAMMIT, WHERE DO I START?"

I looked back at her, still in shock. "Why are you yelling at me? You're the one who shot me, and by the record, everything was under my control."

Yuna yelled back, "UNDER YOUR CONTROL? WHAT A GRAND PLAN! Do you think this world is a comic book where you can fulfill your vigilante fantasy? I was following you back then, and thank God my hunch was right. You said you trusted me, so why didn't you come to me first? Did you expect to go in there and be everyone's knight in shining armor, blast everything, and save everyone? All you did was make it more complicated."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Oh, yeah? Then what did you expect me to do? Watch everyone die in that building?"

"You just had to inform me about that, and I would have taken care of everything. Did you expect to catch Alex with just his one warehouse? Trust me, I tried that before, and it doesn't work. And you can't link Alex to that small warehouse. He wasn't even in there," Yuna replied.

I was getting frustrated. "So what should I do then?"

"I DON'T KNOW, OK? I REALLY I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T WANT YOU TO DIE. I LOVE YOU, YOU IDIOT!" Yuna exclaimed.

"You're as toxic as ever," I said, feeling a mix of anger and sadness.

Suddenly, Yuna's phone beeped, and she checked her messages. "We've got a problem," she said, looking at me with worry in her eyes. "We need to act fast if we want to prevent a disaster."
