I snorted in annoyance, biting into the matcha ice cream in my hand which was starting to melt.

"Me? Acted like a shit all the day?"

"Yes. You acted like a shit all the day and it pissed me off."

"Is that why you gave me a response that felt so fake when I asked you what you thought about our date today?"

Without hesitation, I responded to Hannah's question with a short nod, then turned my face away from her and looked at the group of children running near where we were sitting now, each carrying a balloon in their hands with a shape that managed to make me frown in surprise.

Is it just me or are kids' tastes terrible these days?

How can they carry balloons in the shape of starfish with scary faces with smiles that remind me of the Joker character in Batman cheerfully as if the scary thing in their hands is worth buying with their parents' money?
