Rose and Sandra envy

"Welcome back, my dear! I missed you so much. I was worried someone might try to kidnap you if I wasn't by your side," Rose exclaimed, hugging me tightly. She checked my body for any signs of injuries or scratches, making sure I was okay.

"My Xzson! I rushed to you as soon as I felt your presence. Did anyone try to harm you?" She asked with concern, carefully examining my body for any signs of harm.

However, their attention shifted to the little girl in my arms. The girl opened her eyes in response to Rose's hug, looking at her with a mix of curiosity and concern. Her gaze then shifted to Sendra, and her eyes widened in disbelief at Sendra's stunning beauty. It was almost as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing. If I were to compare the beauty of Rose and Sendra, Sendra's radiance could easily outshine Rose's, making her seem almost like a goddess in comparison.

Letting out a sigh, I began to explain the events that had transpired. They both listened intently as I recounted the story. Once I finished, they both held me tightly, clearly worried about my well-being.

"Dear, how dare those lowly beings try to kidnap my love. I will erase their existence from this world. Those pathetic bastards," Rose's aura filled the room, her anger radiating intensely.

"I will kill them! I'll freeze them to death for daring to take my love away," her voice dripped with frustration and rage. As her anger surged, the temperature in the room plummeted, causing a chill to run through me. I exhaled, my breath turning to visible fog, only to notice that Rose and Sophia remained unaffected by the cold. They stood firm, as if the drop in temperature had no impact on them. However, my attention shifted to the elf girl in my arms. Her body trembled in the cold, seeking solace in my warmth. She clung to me as if her life depended on it.

"Sendra, stop!" My command halted her actions, and she looked at me, confusion etched on her face. "What's wrong with my Xzson? Did I do something wrong?" She sounded innocent, as if unaware of the coldness that had spread. "She's feeling cold, so stop this immediately," I scolded her with an angry look and left the room.

As I exited, I could sense the envy and frustration from Rose and Sophia. They watched as I protected the elf girl in my arms, and it seemed to affect them deeply.

"Where are you going, my son?"

"Darling, who is that elf child?"

"Love, forgive me! I didn't mean to upset you."

I walked away without offering any explanation or answers. I knew that Sophia would fill them in on the details eventually. Turning their attention to Sophia, both Rose and Sendra inquired about the outsider who seemed to have become entwined with me.

"Who is that? Tell me, Sophia, and why is she with my dear?" Rose's anger was evident in her eyes as she questioned Sophia. Sendra, too, awaited Sophia's response, eager to know the details.

Sophia nodded and proceeded to explain the story of the cart attack by human knights, how they were after the elf girl.

Rose's expression shifted to curiosity upon hearing that a human dared to enter her kingdom and harm me. "Those lowly beings tried to hurt my dear in my land! Who do they think they are? I will kill them and have Sophia find out who they are!" Rose's fury was clear as she vowed to take action.

However, her fiery determination was met with disappointment when Sophia spoke. "Mother, my son didn't clarify who those knights were. According to his words, they were wearing heavy white armor. I assume they might be from the Duke family serving under the human king." Sophia's voice dripped with disdain as she shared this information, her gaze turning towards the door where I had left.

Sendra finally broke her silence in response to their conversation. "They need to be punished for their sins. After touching my love, their land will never feel warmth again!" She clenched her fist, her anger palpable, and cursed the dark order from the depths of her heart.

However, her passionate words were met with a somewhat mocking response from Rose. "Do you even do anything, or is it all just big talk?" Rose's words carried a hint of amusement as she playfully challenged Sendra. She turned her cold gaze towards her and continued, "What are you trying to prove? That I'm not supposed to be with my Xzson? Dream on! I will never leave his side or let him go away from me!" Her voice was fierce as she asserted her determination, accompanied by a disdainful expression.

"You! Should you not be grateful that I spared you earlier upon my dear's request? Otherwise, you might have been frozen to death by now," Rose added, putting her hand to her lips and laughing softly in a somewhat mocking manner. Her narrowed eyes seemed to challenge Sendra.

Sendra watched Rose quietly, her face growing colder as time passed. But eventually, her anger escalated, and she couldn't hold back any longer. "Grateful? You think I should be grateful? It's you who should consider yourself lucky. Otherwise, I would have left you frozen to death, had my Xzson not wished for you to be with us." Her voice carried a sharp edge of frustration and resentment.

Rose and Sendra exchanged intense gazes, their emotions clearly on edge. The tension in the room had escalated to the point where it seemed a fight might break out at any moment. The stakes were high – any attack could potentially bring down the entire imperial castle.

However, Sophia's voice cut through the charged atmosphere, commanding their attention and causing them both to halt their hostile intentions. They turned their attention to her, their expressions still tense as they awaited her words.

"Both of you, stop!" Sophia's voice rang out with authority, effectively silencing their brewing conflict. She continued, her tone carrying a sense of warning, "If either of you initiates a fight, I'm certain my son will not forgive either of you. And he won't entertain any excuses for why you started."

Both Rose and Sendra absorbed her words, understanding the gravity of their potential actions. Sophia then shifted her focus to the situation between me and the elf child, her tone carrying a touch of envy, "You've both already noticed that elf child clinging to him as if he belongs to her."

However, before Sophia could continue, Sendra interjected, her impatience evident. "Just get to the point. Justify yourself without complicating things further." Her words reflected her frustration and eagerness to understand the situation clearly.

"We need to separate her from him, or even eliminate that elf girl. If we hesitate, she might take my son away from us," Sophia's voice held a grave seriousness, her inner turmoil evident as she trembled with the fear of losing him to the elf. Meanwhile, both Rose and Sendra imagined scenarios where the elf might pose a threat to their connection with him, fueling their anger.

Rose and Sendra exchanged a glance that concealed their deeper animosity, yet in this critical situation, they understood the necessity of cooperation. Reluctantly, they both nodded, their mutual understanding clear.

While their hearts harbored conflicting emotions, the urgency of removing this perceived threat prompted them to form a reluctant alliance. Each of them nodded in agreement before leaving the room, their united purpose temporarily overshadowing their personal differences.
