"The Beginning"

The streets were eerily quiet, except for the distant sounds of explosions and gunfire. The moonless night cast an ominous shadow over the city, making it difficult to see anything beyond a few meters. With smoke covering the sky it is difficult to see.

The buildings that once stood tall and proud were now reduced to rubble, with twisted metal and shattered glass littering the streets. The air was thick with dust and smoke, making it hard to breathe.

Occasional bursts of light illuminated the darkness, revealing the silhouette of armored vehicles and soldiers patrolling the streets. The sound of their heavy boots echoed through the empty alleyways.

As the group cautiously made their way through the destruction, they couldn't help but feel a sense of dread and hopelessness. It was hard to imagine that this place was once a bustling metropolis, filled with life and energy. Now, it was a desolate wasteland, ravaged by war and destruction.

...

It had been three and a half months since they left the safety of the hotel, and the world they once knew had changed beyond recognition. The first major change was the discovery of the alien weapons.

Humans had always thought that their technology could take them only so far, but they were wrong. The aliens' weapons were far more advanced than anything humans had ever seen, and they quickly learned that they were outmatched in every way.

A month after they left the hotel, the aliens began to use new weapons that were even more deadly than before. The silver-ranked aliens were superior in every aspect, and the group had to hide far away and be careful not to attract their attention.

The new weapons the silver ranked aliens used had fused elements in them that made them more powerful and efficient than anything the humans had ever seen.

Occasionally, they could see laser swords, rifles that shot fire bullets or plasma bullets, and other weapons that seemed to defy the laws of physics.

As time passed, the group discovered that the aliens could use their mana, qi, or whatever you wanted to call it to enhance their weapons.

They could cover their bullets with mana to make them more powerful, use it normally with some bullets that were way stronger than those from Earth, or just charge it and shoot plasma.

It was a terrifying realization that the aliens had harnessed the power of the universe itself and were using it to destroy the world.

But the biggest change was happening right now. As the group made their way through the ruins of the city, they heard a sound that made their blood run cold. It was a low, ominous hum that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once.
