“OI, STOP! MISS, STOP RUNNING! WE CAN TACK ONTO YOUR SENTENCE FOR THIS!”
Ought she to slow down? Probably.
Is Aures about to ‘come quietly’, as the saying goes? Not a chance.
The thing is, it wasn’t supposed to be so public.
Lilliana’s birthday is soon and the absolute madwoman has decided to throw a ball of sorts, on the Wynne farm. She’s paying to have it decorated and the south east wing cleared up as it very much used to be a ballroom before it fell into disuse.
Now, the only person ever perusing that side of the house is Aures, who has her bedroom there. Naturally, Mr and Mrs Wynne are thrilled for this opportunity and ecstatic that Aures has finally, after 20 years, made a friend. She tries not to feel offended.
This fell perfectly in line with Aures’ plan of vengeance on Edith and Juliette for being frankly awful people and she had Lilli invite them personally, instead of risking the chance they might skip out on the blanket invitation issued to the village.
