James found himself inside of a large ballroom with beautiful marble floors and high ceilings. A crystal chandelier hanging over the middle of the room illuminating the space with elegant white light. People all around were dressed in different ensembles, each themed as different flora and fauna. From an azealia to a hedgehog, there was something for everyone.
And once again James felt very out of place. He knew he had to ask questions, but people weren’t here to be interrogated by a vampire hunter; they were here to have fun.
James tried though, he tried to step into groups and to integrate himself into conversations to ask questions, but no one was interested in anything he wanted to say. And he was quickly losing hope; especially when the music began to pick up and couples made their way to the center of the ballroom and began to dance.
